Titanic Mania

Titanic Quote of the week: " It's been 84 years.... and I can still smell the fresh paint. The china had never been used. The sheets had never been slept in. Titanic was called the ship of dreams. And it was. It really was...." I am going to write a little about each of the main characters in Titanic. Rose Dewitt Bukater " Oh stop it mother you'll give yourself a nosebleed." Rose is a very independent woman. When it comes to the class she is in she feels very tied up and that is hard for someone so independent as she is. When she is at the steerage party, I think that shows the real Rose. She is wanting to be free and do what she pleases. Also when she is talking to Jack on the bridge of the ship. She is telling him all these things that she wants to do. I feel sorry for her, but she finally gets what she wants, kind of in a bad way. But the good thing is that she gets on with her life, but it is a lot more satisfying.

Jack Dawson "Winning that ticket, Rose, was the best thing that ever happened to me, it brought me to you, and I'm thankful for that." Jack Dawson is a very wonderful character. He is poor, but in a way he lives like a king. He can do what he pleases. No one can stop him from doing anything. He has no restrictions. He also can do what he loves, and that is drawing. He is able to see life and interpret it on paper. I think Jack is lucky to not be a 1st class person.

Caldeon Hockley " You know that there is nothing that I couldn't give you, there's nothing I wouldn't deny you, if you would not deny me. Oh, open you're heart to me, Rose." I think Cal is a very possessive person. It shows when they are at the lunch table in the begging of the movie. He orders food for Rose and himself. She probably didn't even want what he ordered. Then there is the part where he takes the cigarette away from Rose. How embarrassing is that? I think Cal is a great character and I am not putting him down. I think he is a fine actor because his character I am sure was meant to be pushy , rude and very 1st class and if could make us believe him and hate him then he has done is job and very good acting.
