The '68 Comeback Special
This event in Elvis' career marked a turning point, it was an historic moment. The live segments of this TV special aren't as polished as his return in Vegas the following year, still this is Elvis at his best.
Elvis was extremely nervous before his first sit-down show on June 27th 1968, accompanied by Scotty Moore and D.J.Fontana, among others, he was there to restore his place as the King Of Rock 'n' Roll and did just that.
Elvis sang many of his old hits such as " That's All Right ", " One Night ", " Lawdy, Miss Clawdy ",etc... with such a vigor that most of the songs sounded different, even almost new,yes the man was in total control and proved it to the very large audience that were in front of their T.V. on December 3rd 1968.
