Currently the Hilton was having guests for the opening shows and the above is a reproduction of what was being given or sent for the opening of the " Elvis Summer Festival 1973 ".

In 1969 Elvis received near the end of his engagement the famous " gold belt " for breaking all attendances record, that belt became famous as Elvis started to use it as a stage belt with various jumpsuits or even while not being on stage.

Elvis received several gifts from the Hilton for similar reasons through the years, in 1975 it was a gold medallion and on September 1st 1973 he received that long torsaded gold chain. That chain was then used on stage by Elvis for all his shows until the end of this engagement.
