A cryptic guy with a message, Angel(David Boreanaz)’s role is
Buffy’s protector *sigh!* and spy. He usually comes out of nowhere to
give Buffy a message/the 411 on the latest vampire threat. "As
long as you're going to be popping up with this cryptic wiseman
act, you can at least tell me your name." ~Buffy in WTTHM2.
The story behind Angel is that he is the only vampire with a soul.
Long age, he fed on a girl from the Romani Gypsy Clan. The elders
put a curse on him and they decided to give him back his soul.
They figured that would be the worst punishment. He hasn’t been
able to feed on a human ever since.... because along with a soul
comes a conscience.
Angel is in love with Buffy. Buffy is in love with him. But, it’s
kind of hard to work out, if he’s a vampire and she’s a slayer.
"A vampire in love with a slayer. It’s rather poetic." says Giles
to Angel. Whether or not their love with happen is not known.
Although rumor says that they will get hot and heavy in the new
season. Only time will tell. REALITY CHECK!! *BONK* Probably will
not happen without some major obstacles standing in their way.
He continuely builds a mystery. He’s Angel! (The name fits him,
eh?)
Angel now has a spin off show called... well.. "Angel" which can be seen after Buffy on the WB on Tuesdays at 9 p.m.
Be on the look out for character cross overs as Angel makes his way towards rededamtion as a Detective, defending the
innocent against the demons of LA.
