Moving to a new school is always tough. But for Buffy Summers
(Sarah Michelle Gellar), it’s worst than tough. In her old school,
she was the most popular cheerleader type. Then, all that changed
when she was kicked out of her old school. Why, you ask? (It
wasn’t that big of a deal!) Umm... well... she only burned down
a gym full of vampires.
She comes to Sunnydale, not knowing what awaited her. People found
out about her last ordeal and rumors of her freakyness went around
the school faster than a forest fire. She became an outcast and
she had to get use to the fact that she wasn’t in the higher ranks
of society anymore. She mets Rupert Giles, the librarian/watcher,
and she freaks when she finds out she is a slayer and he is the
watcher. She does run back to him when vampires start killing
people. She realizes her destiny and takes it to reality. Along
with Willow Rosenberg and Xander Harris, these people are her
best friends and the only ones that know her deep dark secret.
During the Harvest (a vampire blood fest), Buffy saves Williow and
Xander from vampires. That’s how they find out about her secret.
They accept her into their little group and they help her
research her latest opponents. Willow and Xander are her loyal
and trustworthy friends and that is their most important role.
Buffy, also, met a vampire (which she didn’t know was a vampire
at the time) named Angel. She fell head over heels for him.
"Admit it! Angel pushes your buttons!" Willow comments with a
grin.
Angel, also, knew that Buffy was the slayer and always
came to the Bronze (the local hang out) and warned her of the
danger she was about to face. Buffy’s biggest struggle is trying
to have a normal life at the same time as being a slayer. She
yearns to be popular and admired again, but she sighs and
realizes she has a job to do, which is more important than that.
It's the year 2000.... Buffy's in college with Willow and Oz.... Angel's a
detective in LA. With Xander hanging around Sunnydale and living in his parent's
basement. With Giles' unemployed and no longer a Watcher.
Anything can happen this year.
