beneficial or frightening, but one thing is certain, dependable communications
are a must. From the sea-going businessman to that emergency distress call,
or just staying in touch, being able to communicate can be a neccessity.
Marine operators, HF radios or cell-phones can't always do the job; and the
weather can play havoc with terrestrial based communications. But now there's
Wavetalk. Marine-built and tested in
heavy seas, Wavetalk provides voice, fax
and data satellite communications throughout the waters of
North and Central
America, the northern tip of South America, Hawaii and the Caribbean.
Conduct business, use on-line services, send and receive e-mail or faxes.
What's more, calls are totally private and can be dialed directly,
worldwide.
Wavetalk
is easily installed and comes with all mounting brackets and marine hardware.
The antenna can be mounted flush to the deck or on a standard 1-inch marine
mount. Long safety-rated antenna cables allow aboveboard flexibility in mounting
the lightweight, satellite tracking antenna.
Wavetalk antennas are available in the medium
gain model or the high gain model, called
WavetalkPlus.
Wavetalk contains all the programmable
conveniences of standard and cellular telephones with connections for optional
PBX hook-up, a standard touch-tone or cordless phone, facsimile equipment,
GPS readout or packet data transmissions. Service features such as call waiting,
forwarding, and conferencing are also available on Wavetalk through Crescent
City Satellite Communications services.

Wavetalk consists of four major components: the handset, the transceiver
unit, the antenna electronics unit and a new stylish marine
antenna.
The handset has a brightly illuminated easy-to-read key pad with on-the-fly
adjustments for programming and volume levels.
The transceiver unit, the brain of the system, with built in modem, is
12"L X 7"W X 2"H, weighs approximately 7.5 pounds and comes with its universal
mounting bracket and hardware.
The antenna electronics unit, 9"L X 7"W X 2.5"H and weighing 7 pounds,
that comes with its mounting bracket and hardware, that comes with 40 foot
antenna control and RF cables.
The antenna, with its lightweight windswept design, sends and receives
calls directly through satellite It weighs less than 2.5 pounds, measures
only 10"L X 9"W X 6.5"H, and has the ability to electronically track the
satellites.
