Welcome Paul fans. Here is a little info on my favorite Beatle:

James Paul McCartney was born on June 18,1942 at Walton General hospital in liverpool. He was the eldest son of Mary and James McCartney. His brother Michael was born in novermer of 1943(18 months later) His Mother Mary was a wid-wife and moved a few times. When Paul turned 13 they moved to 20 Forthin road in allerton,just across a golf coarse and a few miles from where john lived. there is where Mary died of breast cancer a year later. Paul was only 14 and took it rather hard. His father bought him a trumpet in high hopes that he would become a jazz musician like himself but Paul wasn't interested so he traded it for a gutiar. He tryed to play it right handed but couldn't so he changed the strings around. He couldn't read notes on a page so he taught himself to play. In 1957 he entered the Liverpool Institute(a high school). Paul did very well in school. Paul and George rode the same bus to school. He also rode with a fellow named Ivan Vaughan. Ivan took him to Woolton on July 6,1957 where he introduced him to John lennon who was playing in a group he formed called the Quarrymen. Ivan didn't take Paul to see the band, he really took him to check out the girls there. Later in the afternoon after hearing the band play, Paul borrowed a gutiar and impressed the croud by playing and singig the song"Twenty Flight Rock." A few days later they invited him into the band. Then a friend of Johns at Liverpool's collage of art, Joins the group as the bass gutairast. after they got a drummer they named themselves the Beatles,Johns friend(Stuart Sutcliffe) quits the band and paul takes over the bass. Although John was the leader of the group, Oaul was the one who seemed to have the greatest appetite for sucess and worked hard to achive it.
