Greetings from beautiful Bourg, LA!

Located about ten minutes south of Houma, Bourg is a place where you can raise a family without worrying about letting your children play in a neighbor's yard 'til dark. My wife Mary is a South Terrebonne High School graduate. She can often be found in our yard tending to her beautiful flower and rock gardens. I am a native of Morgan City, La., and have now lived in Bourg for approximately 15 years. It is a beautiful place to live.

Sports plays a big part of this Bourg resident's life. I enjoy bowling, basketball, football, golf, and (most of all) softball. During the summer, you can find me on the softball field or on the road to take in a Major League Baseball game.

Each year, I try to find time to make at least one trip to Houston (just under six hours from Bourg by automobile) to see the 2005 National League Champion Astros! Another great destination is Arlington, Texas, where my niece Maureen (a big Rangers fan) has lived (and loved) for many years. And it just wouldn't be a good year without at least one visit to see some "Atlanta cajuns" (south Louisiana transplants and good friends Kevin, Missi, and Brandon). I hope to see you all again this summer!

When visiting Atlanta, be sure to plan a day in nearby Helen, Ga., a German-style village with great food to satisfy all tastes, fun stuff (like tubing in the Chattahoochee), and shops galore!
