"About Dr.Shahid Abbas"
Dr.Shahid Abbas Chief Allergy & Tropical Diseases in  National   Institute   of   Health   started   the Allergy Center in NIH on scientific lines in 1990. He came to Pakistan after having about 20 years of experience in allergy and allergy related diseases abroad. He is Clinical Immunologist  and   has been involved as incharge in the formulation, preparation and quality control of   allergy   vaccines. He was also incharge of WHO Referral Lab. for AIDS in Pakistan. Lastly he was working  in Department of Allergy St.Mary`s Hospital London before joining  NIH. Previously   only   3 allergy tests used to be done in NIH but due to his efforts now about 35 different tests   are   done   here   and   daily we are receiving about 300-400 patients   of    allergy   from    different  parts of the country. He is an active member of the group of Environmental  Health   Physicians   and   Ecologists   of   USA. He is giving consultation to the allergy patients and involved in diagnosing and treating  the environmental diseases in NIH. He is also doing research   with   the   collaboration   of   Pakistan   Science   Foundation on POLLEN ALLERGIES IN ISLAMABAD. The research is complete  and the   results  will be given to the government with the recommendations soon.

OUR MISSION :-
        Dr.Shahid Abbas founded Allergy & Environmental Diseases Centre in Islamabad to   treat the allergy and allergy related problems in the patients like  nasal  congestion,  eye redness, soreness, sneezing, wheezing, coughing, joint  pains,  intestinal  allergies, skin rashes / irritation, itching, yeast or candidal infections, mood swings, hyperactivity, learning problems, aggressiveness in children, attention deficit disorders, fatigue, depression and loss of short term memory.
        Allergy is one of the   environmental   diseases    and   the  symptoms  of  allergy  and  chemical sensitivity are so confusing and similar that doctors often are  stuck up   and   patients    are   advised medicines (which are chemicals) without any effects, rather these medicines   harm the   human body. We blieve that patients are being mishandled and the patients needs a great d eal   of  information  so that they can treat themselves. We are  committed   to   give  as much   as possible information to the patients so that they can understand about their problems  and can deal with their changing problems.
        We believe that patients should have  information   available  to them  at   all the times  and   the patients are encouraged to call at any time if they   have   any   question.  We have arranged to make follow up calls on regular basis to insure an optimal  result. Patients   are   encouraged to  call me any time of day or night if they have any problem.
IT   IS   STRONGLY    RECOMMENDED   THAT    PATIENTS RECEIVING    ALLERGY     SHOTS      SHOULD    GET   THE ALLERGY SHOTS  IN   ALLERGY   CENTRE  OR    SHOULD  CONTINUOUSLY BE IN CONTACT WITH ME ON TELEPHONE IF THEY HAVE ANY PROBLEM.
