Ice House
111 Midtown Bridge Approach
Hackensack, NJ
(201)487-8444
1.5 Hrs from MHCC

Route 87 (NYS Thruway) south, to the Garden St. Parkway (GSP) South (exit 14a). GSP south to Rte 17 south (exit 163), this is a left lane exit. Take 17 south to Rte 4 east. Take 4 east to Hackensack Ave. South (this will be the first Hackensack Ave. exit, it is a small sign). Proceed on Hackensack Ave. South through 6 traffic lights. Turn left onto Midtown Bridge Approach (that is the name of the street). The rink is approximately 200 yds on the right past a bowling alley (Bowler City). There is additional parking across the street from the rink. If you go under a railroad trestle on Hackensack Ave. south, you've gone too far. Follow the directions on the RR trestle to get back to Ice House.

On the return trip home, to get onto 4 west you will have to turn into Riverside Mall, and turn around in there. The entrance to 4 west is across the street from the mall. There is no left turn off of Hackensack Ave. onto 4 west.

ED NOTE: I have used these directions. Traffic on 17 and 4 is very heavy Monday through Saturday because of construction and various mall traffic. Traffic at the 17/4 interchange is especially poor. If you are traveling here during business hours be prepared for SUBSTANTIAL delays. In my experience, I'd allow at least 30 minutes in delays to the rink, and 30 to 45 minutes in traffic and construction delays on the return trip. As of 4/12/99 the malls in this county of NJ are closed on Sunday, so  traffic on Sunday's is considerably less and therefore the delays will be less or nonexistent.

Newer facility, quad rink facility, full pro shop, larger than average locker rooms, 1 main snack bar with several 'satellites', upstairs viewing area above all rinks, bleacher seating in only 2 rinks with standing room in the other 2
