Yesterday's Dreams

Arising with the morning mists
Quiet moments by the pond
Serenity radiates from island thoughts
Embrace the awakening dawn

Keep yesterday's dreams, not realized
Close by for their chance to play
For tomorrow's dreams are simply those
That did not come true today

To see the rainbows in this life
We must accept a little rain
Dance in it with adventurous steps
Letting echoes of laughter remain

And as sunset colours come to rest
On celestial mountainside
Gather the solace to your soul
For that is where dreams reside
