Moon

I looked up at the moon last night
I knew you were looking too
Could you feel me at your side
I know that I felt you

The reflection on the water
Lapping against the rock
Reminded me of your eyes
I could almost hear you talk

I closed my eyes and listened
I heard you say "I'm here"
Could you hear me answer
"I know what you know dear"

The moon received my laughter
It's light absorbed my pain
You caressed my weary heart
And made it whole again

While the moon blessed the lake
My soul passed into yours
Sharing a special moment
As the water lapped the shores

When you see the moon tonight
Know that I am there too
Waiting to give my heart and soul
Forever and only to you
