After Stephens City, we realized the next weekend would bring Ricky
within a two hour drive of us, to Lawn,Pennsylvania.
Sunday morning we were saying: "We should think about going."
Sunday night we were saying, "We should seriously think about going."
Monday I called D.J from work and said: "We're going!" she agreed and
so.... off we went! One problem.... the budget... it was between paydays
and in that area, rooms were at least $100 a night! What to do?
CAMP RLG
After arriving at Lawn, (beautiful place out in the middle of what seemed
like nowhere) we met some really nice folks, ( HI! Jim, Lucy and
family,Mary and all the others!)They took us right in, gave us a great spot
in the area they had reserved, and made us feel very welcome as new
RLG fans. We spent the hours before the show meeting other fans that
had come in from all over, organizing photo albums and talking to Jon
(bass player) and Don(drummer) as they were out and about. This was
the first time we'd gotten to talk to them and boy, are they funny!
Jim from PA
If you could choose one place to meet one of your favorite entertainers, we
can guarantee it would NOT be where we ran into Ricky in Lawn! Yup, outside the potties!! Don't
laugh, it really happened to us!
Ricky was surprised to see us,but probably NOT as surprised as we were at
that moment!(he remembered us!*smile* )said he thought he wouldn't see us again
until Manassas. We explained that after the stellar performance in Stephens City,
we just couldn't wait three weeks to see another show and hey, it was only a two
hour drive, and we didn't have anything planned for the weekend, so.......
here we were!
