British freeblown transitional wine bottle. Sheared lip, applied flattened string rim, refired pontil. A transitional shape linking the onion and mallet shapes. 6 and 1/4" in height and 5 and 1/2" in diameter. This bottle has a nice short tapered neck and note the one slopping shoulder. A beautiful piece of glass. Ca: 1710-1720 Photos and info courtesy of Rod Harmic. Much thanks.
