Red October

"Old Red" was my best friend for a time. But, like a dog owner that moves to the city, old red needed the room of the country to run. But I guess having a non existant magneto dynamic hydro propulsion system will do that. She's a 1977 Ford LTD II two door with a Windsor 351 engine. Now that were through that....it had a hood that stretched out for miles in front of ya. She could get up and go, or cruise, and the ride was as smooth as you would expect from a car with a couch for a backseat. It was extraordinary type loud for the two months i went without a muffler and all the other exhaust parts that connect to the engine. Along with Dave, I put in a car stereo that had a cassette player in it (fancy schmancy if you know me) and we drove around letting the fine people of Oakdale MN hear it. Heh. But no booming bass did we play, no loud thumpity thumpity. We played the soviet national anthem. *THAT* elicited some looks I havent seen repeated in a long time.

Look at that HOOD!

Glory shot....Built for comfort, not for speed....

There she goes....

Down the road to pull boats and bring joy to children...
