2) Reviews: What the local press are saying about Lindsey as he blows through town.

PHILADELPHIA

…Lindsey Buckingham appeared to be overtaken by an animalistic spirit. He was playing a guitar solo - a carefully constructed thematic excursion defined by harpooning, pitch-bending long tones - when Buckingham suddenly began to flail at the strings. He lifted both hands high in the air and repeatedly smacked the fretboard. His body appeared tense, and there was rage in his movements. It was as though a gorilla had snuck inside his body, still rail-thin at 54, and was going his own way, lashing out, manipulating his arms, generating a hailstorm of dissonance.

…it did what so many live performances from heritage artists don't: It pulled a timeworn and overplayed song 26 years into the present and gave it blood and guts.

MEADOWLANDS

Buckingham is this band's designated rock'n'roll animal. He was determined to put on a show and be the driving force of the latest edition of this long-running rock circus.

Buckingham played feverishly fast guitar riffs on songs like "Second Hand News," "Eyes of the World" and "Big Love." But he also lightened up at times, making "Never Going Back Again" into a heart-to-heart conversation with the audience, and embracing the easy-going pop of the "Say You Will" track, "What's the World Coming To."

ST.PETERSBURG

...but on this night, Fleetwood Mac played a concert. And Lindsey Buckingham gave a performance.

BIRMINGHAM

Nicks displayed real warmth when she thanked Birmingham for packing a crucial show in 1975 that allowed Buckingham Nicks, on the verge of joining Fleetwood Mac, a glimpse of what its future stardom might be like.
