Every Night Before I Sleep
Every night before I sleep, I say the Lord's prayer.
Place His hand over me, may my life He spare.
When I awake and see that death has passed,
I thank God for making my life last.
I look into Jesus' eyes for a brighter day.
I listen to His Voice for an easier way.
Guided by His hand, down the narrow and right,
For Thou art with me, to give me courage to fight.
Even though I may stumble,
I will still catch my step.
Even though I may slide,
The word of God is still kept.
They stoned Stephen
And they can stone me too.
They crucified Jesus, for me and you.
Ashes to ashes, dust to dust,
What meant nothing to them,
Means the world to us.
After His death, Satan thought the battle was won,
But when He rose from His tomb,
The battle for Christ-like had just begun.
Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I am protected by the Son.
Every night before I sleep, I say the Lord's prayer,
Giving praises and thanks, for my sin's He bore.
Without the Blood of Jesus, I would be a lost soul.
They chanted "crucify, crucify," and that has made me whole.
The vision I see, people still don't believe us.
You need to close your eyes, and look through the eyes of Jesus.
For what I can't see, He has already shown
Love, support and guidance and with the comfort of the Holy Spirit.
I'm now not alone.
The harvest is many, but the labourers are few,
It's not done for the benefits, It's done for the love of you.
Many weep, I weep, and I will weep out loud,
for it says that one day every head and knee shall bow.
For you are the Alpha and the Omega,
The beginning and the end,
Every night before I sleep,
I thank you for bearing my sins.
