*neil*
Neil looked very puzzled "Has something
happened to Lindaru?"
"You tell me Neil" Jim said. Morden
closed in on Neil aswell "yes Neil, tell us..." "I know of nothing wrong!"
Neil sayd "I just got here, and was only inspecting the shop, the only
weird thing that has happened here is that strange shadow that claims to
be lost.." Neil pointed back towards the shop, but nothing was there. Neil
looked at Jim and Morden in despair. "No shadow can come here without me
knowing it" Morden said "and no Shadow would come here voluntarilly, to
many Vorlon pictures here" "But... but.. but..." "No Buts Neil what is
going on here?!" Jim demanded The door chime softly sounded... "By Booji
It's getting away!!!" Neil ran for the door, followed by Morden and Jim.
Outside the store in the temple garden was the unknown Shadow, if Neil
wouldn't have known better he could have sworn that it was grinning...evilly
<Say bye bye to your defender!!!> "<GET HIM !!!!>" Morden screamed
out loud and telepathically to her Shadows. They shot past the three of
them in a shadowy blur heading for the Grinning Shadow....
*Lorien*
The followers spirits were liftid
al teast 20% of the folowers had been rivivid and by all estimatians we
were no more than a day away from reviving MR. garibaldi it was now 2 am
in the temple and lorien was looking at the secure cams from the hover
bots and he noticed something he suddenly stoped leaning
back from his chair he issued his
order "bot 27 turn 35 degrees.... my god" suits thousands of them what
a time for them to begin there inevidable head on strike computer open
audio channel over intercom with in minutes all the followers had been
warned but none of them new of the back up plan
*Lindaru*
This had been quite a long day.
It occurred to her that she had never even checked home to see how Jim
and the babies were doing. She went to the com screen and punched in her
home number. There was
a recorded message. "The recipient
you are calling is not currently at this number. Please check the number
and try again."
She gazed about the Temple in frustration,
trying the number again with the same result. Next, she dialed Neil's shop.
All that she received was static.
She dialed the central com operator.
Her image appeared on the screen but something was amiss.
"This is communications assistance,
what planet and sector, please?"
Lindaru stared in horror as she
realized the operator was not from the Temple sector but was rather wearing
a polyester pants suit and was also wearing an odd dollar symbol shaped
pair of earrings that looked like this:
$$
She reached down and looked through
one of the M&M drawers . . . empty! No . . . not quite. There was a
scrap of a business card there. "Yupp--- Interna------". This was not really
the Temple!
*Neil*
The mysterious Shadow fled away
from Mordens associates.. Suddenly the music comming from the temple speakers
stopped, and was replaced by Loriens voice: "The suits are surrounding
the temple grounds, battle stations every one!!!"
No music returned on the speakers,
it was eerilly silent. Lindaru's vorlon husband broke the silence.
"I will go and look for Lindaru.
Neil, find Lorien and see what you can do to help. Morden, call your shadowy
friends back and go to Garibaldi, that mysterious Shadow might be planning
to... how shall I put it.... hurt him." Morden didn't like this "I don't
take orders from a Vorlon, I take orders from only myself!!" Neil could
see the anger in Mordens eye's. Not now!! "Morden, would you please do
as he suggests, Garibaldi might
need your help." Morden looked at Neil, who was now pouting very hard at
her, and walked away. Her shadows joining her as she left. Neil looked
at Jim "Good luck, I hope Lindaru is alright, may Booji help you" "And
you too Neil" Jim replied as he was waddling away...
*Morden*
"<I expect my payment.>" one
of the Shadows said. Morden just walked on, trying to ignore him. "<You
said you wouldn't tolerate him pouting. He pouted and you didn't smack
him, thus you owe me 20 credits.>"
Morden rounded on him, "<fine.
You'll get it when we get home.>" she said shortly. Another Shadow appeared
in front of them.
"<.... Lost....>" it said. Morden
looked at him suspiciously. Something wasn't right. This wasn't a Shadow.
It shouldn't be. "<You?>"
A wicked glint came to it's eyes.
"<No. Z'Ha'Dum.>"
Morden's eyes widened. The creature
lunged at her, but she didn't move. Her Shadows rushed to her defense.
In only a moment it was over.
"<Z'Ha'Dum... Garibaldi... We've
got to get back.>"
*Reebo*
All of the red head annoyances
were lying all around on the ground. I put my pike away. Now I just had
to find away out. *Hi Reebo* I grumbled under my breath, and pulled out
a PPG so much for being nice to him(s).
*Morden*
They loaded Garibaldi into the
cruiser. He and the cure for the toxin Black Omega.
Morden was staying behind. She
didn't know what that creature meant, but the captain was going to go down
with the ship if need be.
"<Take him to the Scientist
and tell her exactly how to use it. He'll be fine.>" she said.
She had to gear up for whatever
may occur on her home.
She slipped a data crystal into
the port and set it for record.
"Hey everybody. I sent Garibaldi
back to the temple. My Associates have the anti-toxin. He'll easily survive
there, but that would not be a sure thing if he stayed here. I don't know
how long it'll be until I can get back here. We have a possible situation
here, and I don't think it would be wise to leave. I'll be back as soon
I can. Booji be with you all."
She gave the Shadows the data crystal,
and saw them off on their trip back to earth.
*Lorien*
the bots were blasting away at
the suits by the time lorien got outside he would be the only one till
garibaldi got back the temple was in danger the suits had vastly supperior
forces unless we got serious reinforcements the temple would be destroyed.
aaaa
*Entil'Zha*
In the mean time, Entil'zha was
slipping out of her dream. "too bad it was over" she said to her gok. "it
was fun!!!!" An evil grin spread on her face when she thought on what's
coming next. "but it's ok..." she returned to the present. 'Garibaldi will
be ok', she thought 'so i can use this for other purposes... Booji will
understand!!!' then she thought a little more, and a worried expression
came across her face 'i just hope the guys will make it back there in the
temple, untill i'll get this over with'. She wished Booji to protect them,
and then, grinning again, she left for her mission. A passing by suit heard
only 5 words echoing, but somehow, it made him very worried. "this is gonna
be FUN!!!!!"...
*Lindaru*
Lindaru realized that when she
went into the private quarters part of the Temple, she had stepped into
something else. She tried to get out of the room, but the door would not
open. Looking outside, all she
could see was static and the phasing
in and out of the hotel in the courtyard. Was she back in an alternate
reality or had she stepped through some strange portal?
*Garibaldi*
Garibaldi was in the middle of
disecting the hotel room's vid when he heard what sounded like screams
from outside. Going out onto the balcony, all seemed quiet. Directing his
ears towards the source of the noise, he looked up to see hundreds of multi-colored
lights flashing in steady streams through the early morning sky. Every
now and then there would be a bright orange flash, and particles of flaming
debris would streak down through the atmosphere like lost souls, flapping
around in the atmospheric currents and bursting into clouds of red-hot
dust.
"Luckily," Garibaldi told Booji
as he walked back into the room and started prying into the terminal's
entrails again, "I've been in this situation before. And this time my captors
were more interested in preserving my knowledge and mentality for further
use. All I really have to do is figure out the symbolism of this terminal
and then determine all the various reasons why my brain would comprehend
it in this form. Then I just expand on the idea of an outside link by creating
a short circuit within the terminal's wiring."
"And...?" Booji said shortly.
"And that should free some of the
mind-ice, allowing me regain control of my body. The rest of the work can
be done by the Shadow Psychologists and Mind-Scrubbers." He patted his
hands and stood up, satisfied. "There. As soon as you inform me that the
anti-toxin has been administered all I have to do is connect these two
bare wires and I'll be free to help in whatever the hell is going on."
"Impressive." Booji yawned. "Mind
if I go check what's going on out there?"
"Not at all."
Booji nodded and disappeared, the
Pina Colada that had been in his hand falling noisily to the clay floor
and splattering to all four corners of the room. Garibaldi sighed and picked
up the phone, informing room service that he would need a cleanup crew.
Waiting for what seemed like hours,
Garibaldi had downed two ice-waters and a lemonade while he waited for
any news. Suddenly, an idea struck him.....he rushed to the restroom and
emptied three weeks' worth of beverages from his bladder. Sighing contently,
he willed another lemonade to his hand and began to walk back to his seat
when he heard a huge BOOM outside and what sounded like actual screams
from the suits, hotel staff, and beach bunnies. Without thinking he rushed
towards the balcony, but he had gotten no farther than a few steps when
he slipped clumsily on the spill in the middle of the floor. Doing a flip,
he was about to hit his head on the hard clay when his drink splashed against
the bare-wire terminal. There was a spray of sparks and a flash.
The next thing Garibaldi knew he
was floating in a smooth-surfaced ocean. Immediately he remembered the
tests and trial phases of his little mind-world...just like his present
situation except in the tests he had felt nothing, only watched. Here he
felt the freezing water pushing in on him, seemingly following a current
that swirled endlessly around his body. Instinctively he rolled up into
a ball to preserve heat. Looking out towards the uninterrupted horizon
in a full circle around him, his feet and hands began to go numb.
"They better hurry and get me to
the temple," Garibaldi thought aloud, "or I'm going to be preserved in
this block forever." Even though the sky showed no texture or depth, the
battle continued above.
*Morden*
Things were too quite on Z'Ha'Dum.
Morden looked down from her balcony at the Shadows below. Going about their
business, not even realizing what might happen.
But she was thinking like a human.
The Shadows would evolve. They always did.
She found herself wondering what
everyone was doing back at the temple....
*Reebo*
After blowing off some part of
every Raphael around, Reebo felt the alternate slipping.
"You are awake." the suit said
"What? ****** get out of my head!" I screamed "sorry, I can't help it,
umm Reebo" "Right," I stared at him "Gordan" We mounted the bike again
and took off for the
temple.
*MajorButtons*
Two tall, well-dressed women strode
into the Suit Command Room.
"We have come to help out with
your 'little problem'", they said in unison, "but first we need to know
that you will not renege on our deal."
"Ladies, don't worry, as soon as
you get rid of that outrageous gok underwear, we'll let you have MajorButtons'
coat."
"Mmmmmm, an English coat!", one
of the women rubbed her hands together in gleeful anticipation, "that will
almost be sufficient payment...but not quite."
"What else do you want from us?"
"Let us start up our very own line
of gok underwear - we can use those which we steal from the goks as patterns.
Yes!! I can see it now - we'll sell 12 sets for the price of 11!", one
of them shrieked.
"That's right!", exclaimed the
other, "AND we'll offer a discount of 25% off the other 11!"
The women cackled as they walked
off down the corridor, their trusty evil Mall Security Guards following
on behind them.
Now, where were the goks and how
could they extricate MajorButtons from her Shadow bodyguard?
*MajorButtons*
Neil was blissfully unaware of
the fact that his Telly Tubby nightmare had only just begun.
Reinforcements had now been brought
in, including...THE SCARY YELLOW, LAUGHING SUN BABY!
*Neil*
"Didn't I just leave this party?"
This wasn't right.. he was on his
way to find Lorien, but... He couldn't remember beyond that, only that
he was now staring into a hugs glowing, comfortably warm, Smiley Sun..or
um... baby sun?.. with.....uum... gigantic fangs???!!!?!?!!?
Neil walked to the nearest wall,
banged his head on it three times, and chanted "there's no place like home"..it
didn't work.. "darm I should have worn my ruby slippers today"
The monstrous sun seemed to grow,
and take up the entire sky. "How in Booji's name did I get back into this
nightmare!!!"...
*MajotButtons*
"What am I supposed to do with
these bright red shiny shoes?", thought MajorButtons. "They remind me of
a film I once saw. I wonder if Neil would like them?"
MajorButtons scampered along the
corridor, a pair of ruby slippers dangling from her jaws. Behind her trailed
a Shadow bodyguard.
As they rounded the corner they
were transfixed by a bright yellow glow. Try as they might, they just couldn't
remember what it was they were supposed to be doing.
The silhouetted outline of what
looked like Neil was directly ahead of them but all thought of anything
but chubby cheeks had deserted them.
*Lindaru*
Lindaru continued to stare out
at the hotel in the courtyard from the room that was not really part of
the Temple. She noticed the sun was coming out yet the surrounding sky
was still dark. What else
could happen in this alternate
universe place?
The com screen spoke: "Incoming
message."
An evil Suit wearing turquoise
and fuschia pinstripes appeared. "Think you way out of this, Booji scum!
You cannot leave our realities unless we permit you to." He started screeching
in what appeared to be at first agony, but Lindaru realized it was his
odd sense of laughter.
Just then behind him on the vid
screen, Jim appeared and let loose a horrendous stream of firey energy
- directly at the Suit!
Will that teletubbie nightmare never end? Will the ruby slippers fit Neil's feet? Wil Garibaldi be altright? And how come Jim always does what he does when it is needed most? Is he psychic or what?
