Deanna Sorensen & Jez Ford

Hi everyone!

G'day g'day! How are you all doing? Send us an email.

We became Australians in November, pledging allegiance to the people of Australia (not the flag or the Queen) at a ceremony in Manly with maybe 15 others, friends and spectators, and Jean Hay the Mayor ("the Mayor of Paradise" as she says). We got certificates and plants - native rosemary, which doesn't seem to be quite as edible as the European version. Nor as hardy - one of them (we're not sure whose) has already wilted. The problem, you see, is that we weren't able to get them in the soil straight way, because we've just moved house. Also back in Quinton Road, anything I planted (and here I mean your garlic chives, Warren) would do OK for a while and then be mercilessly strimmed to death by our never-actually-seen gardener. One time he actually turfed over them. Neither of us has ever been lucky with plants...

Anyway, new address - in fact, use the PO Box, since the house is so buried by trees that any letters delivered to the creeper-covered external mailbox may be eaten by bugs before we can hack our way through to them.

You do know Dee's book is out! Not got one? WHY NOT? It's quite brilliant - self-published to the highest professional standards, and all major credit cards (and some of the minor ones) accepted, delivered anywhere by those awfully nice but not 100% reliable Australia Post folk. read all about it (and order it) here.

Jez too has been creative this year, working with one Bruce 'BJ' Jenner on a series of songs given life thanks to a laptop-based recording system. Under the name B'Jezus, a Yuletide CD entitled 'The Harbour Sessions' is out there circulating as a white label. Look for more on this elsewhere, or check back to this page for a future link to more info and MP3s soon.

All for now. May 2004 reach high and far for you.
