BOOTS DAVIS COOK EXTRAORDINAIRE FSM Boots Davis had cooked for us every year for at least 20 years. The last year being 1997 when he was already ill. He was a fine fellow and a very good cook. "Boots" Davis, 72, of Barling died Saturday, Jan. 3,1998, in a local hospital. He was a Baptist, a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith. He is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Davis Strange of Memphis, Tenn.; one son, Carroll G. Jr. of Pearl, Miss.; one sister, Carrie Mae Pippin of Gulfport, Miss.; one brother, Hemby Ray of Clinton Miss.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Robert T. Burnham, Dickey Zellers, Dan Dickey, Brian Casey, David Tidwell, Tommy Solesbee, Leroy Biggs and Gary Buskirk.
