~The Hansons live in Tulsa, Oklahoma

~The Hanson family includes: Walker & Diane, Isaac (Ike), 16, Taylor (Tay), 14, Zachary (Zac), 11, Jessica (Jessi), 8, Avery (Avie), 6, and Mackenzie (Mac or Mackie), 3.

~Hanson's parents are both 42.

~Diane was once a professional singer

~Walker works for an oil company and plays piano and guitar as a hobby

~Because of their dad's job Hanson moved around a lot as kids. Besides Oklahoma, Hanson has lived in Ecuador, Trinidad, and Venezuela.

~Both of Hanson's parents home school their 6 kids

~They have help from a math tutor at home

~When they're traveling, Hanson has tutors all the time

~Because they lived in foreign countries and couldn't understand the radio, the only music Hanson listened to was on a 50s and 60s rock-and-roll tape. It is a big influence to them. Says Zac "That's the best music, man!"

~Besides oldies Hanson also likes, Spin Doctors, Natalie Merchant, Blues Traveler, Jewel, Alanis Morissette, Billy Joel, and "Coming from Oklahoma, we also listen to a little country," admits Taylor.

~Hanson has a bodyguard named Jason

~They sang as an a capella group known as the Hanson Brothers for 2 years. Then they got instruments, put out 2 independent CDs before they were discovered by Christopher Sabec at a music festival in Austin Texas.

~He agreed to become the band's manager

~Mercury records signed the band after an employee saw them performing outside a bar called the Blue Rose Cafe that they were too young to get in.

~They changed their name to Hanson and co-wrote a handful of sons with song-writing greats. They recorded these and put out their major label debut Middle of Nowhere

~The first single and video was MMMBop

~The next was Where's the Love

~The next one will be I Will Come to You

~~When Hanson was younger they used to sing for free pizza at their local pizza hut!

~Broken bones:

Ike: nope. Just a really bad ankle sprain

Tay: broke his arm cuz he was riding his bike and a car started coming at him so he tried to move out of the way but flipped over his handle bars instead

Zac: broke his nose about a month ago when he and Tay were catapulting rocks off a see-saw and one hti him

~Their house is made out of rock

~It has 2 acres of land surrounding it and Ike, Tay, and Zac built a treehouse on it that they love to hang out in

~3 year old brother Mackie is already showing lots of musical talent and Hanson may become a quartet in a few years!
