The Hand of Glory is the hand of an ancient leader, it is rumored to be that of Alexander the Great having been taken after his death. The hand itself is solid and mummified. Despite it's age the hand still retains it's color, but the skin is still a litle flaky. Ownership of the hand is enough to keep it's power. The hand cannot be stolen. If it is taken it will not bestow it's gifts until the true owner dies or passes it on. It can be destroyed normally.
Power: The Hand raises Leadership, Persausion, Military, and Guts to 5 so long as it is carried.
Taint: Anyone in possession of the Hand gets a greater sense of self worth. Their over-inflated ego forces them to try to win more fame and glory for themselves. They hunger for the limelight, and will take great risks to stay in it. Eventually, they will sacrifice anything or anyone in order to win another victory.

The Monkey's Paw
This is a mummified monkey hand. It is perfectly preserved and shows no signs of it's true age. There is a dark history associated with the Paw, few people who know of it's past will have any dealings with it. Once discovered, the first person who claims it (by touch or verbal claim) becomes it's owner. After that it cannot be gotten rid of until all three of it's wishes are used. Once that is done the Paw will vanish to a new location to await another master.
Power: The Paw has the ability to grant three wishes. The wishes can be of any nature save for adding more wishes. No wish is beyond it's power to grant.
Taint: While it seems harmless, and can give you whatever you desire the Paw carries a terrible curse. Everywish it grants is tainted with evil and darkness. For example, the owner of the Paw wishes he had a gun just like a companion. Chances are that within the hour the companion will be killed and he will have will the gun to the Paw's owner. Another example would be to bring a companion back from the dead (perhaps following the first disasterous wish), the paw would restore him to life, but as a Harrowed. A Harrowed who is run by the Manitou instead of the companion. Every wish made will be twisted by the Paw. Wishing to make friends with a person might make a lover jealous enough to start shooting, or cause the local Sheriff to think that the party is in cahoots with a band of outlaws. The possibilities are endless. Also, so long as a party holds the paw they cannot use Fate chips.

Chief Iron Shirt's Vest
Chief Iron Shirt was a mediocre Indian Chief who inherited the breastplate of a Spanish Conquistador from his father, which had been passed down through his family. He was the first to wear it. The rest of his tribe viewed his "shirt" as magical as they had never seen metal, and it repeled their attacks.
Powers: The "shirt" is immune to any attack by non-metal items. It can be damaged noramlly by any grade of steel, but wood, stone, bone, etc. cannot harm the wearer.
Taint: The shirt causes all who wear it to follow the old ways. It starts off slowly with the wearer preaching about the evils of technology, ending with them giving up their guns for a bow and arrows. Indians who already follow the old ways will completely disdain anyone who does not. The effects will vanish as soon as the breastplate is given up or passed on.

Taint: Once the Hand is used no further fate chips can be gained for the duration of the adventure.

The Witch Hunter's Kit
This kit belonged to the leading judge of Salem during the infamous witch hunting period. He used it to ferret out suspected traffickers of evil from innocents. The kit contains a witch compass, a holy bible, an iron cross, and holy water.
Powers: Interestingly enough the compass actually centers on anyone who possesses paranormal powers such as Harrowed Edges, Huckster's Hex abilities, etc. The holy water replenishes itself after each use, and the cross can repel any spell of level 3 strength or less. The bible gives a faith bonus of +10.
Taint: The bad news is that after a period of time the Kit makes it's owner suspicious and distrustful of anyone that actually uses magic. After a while this suspicion becomes full blown paranoia and the owner will attempt to kill any "witch" he encounters (even if they used to be friends). The speed at which occurs depends upon how frequently the kit is used.

Lincoln's Stove Pipe Hat
President Lincoln treasured his time making speeches, so much so that he kept them short and to the point. He wore his hat mainly during the time he was traveling and making speeches. Upon his death his hat gained a curious power.
Powers: The simple Stove Pipe hat has gained the ability to add to a person's persuasion. It automatically adds a +5 to any attempts made to persaude.
Taint: Wearing the hat is a mixed blessing. It empowers it's owner with the ability to persaude, but it also draws bullets to the head like flies take to a pile of garbage. Any shots made at the hat's wearer have a +5 chance to hit the wearer's head.
