This page is dedicated to another of my favourite musicians, Sarah McLachlan. Sarah was born on January 28th, 1968 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She was "discovered" at the age of 17 when she was singing with a band. Since then, she has released 5 albums: Touch, Solace, Fumbling towards Ecstasy, Rarities, B-Sides and Other Stuff and her newest album, Surfacing, as well as a limited edition live album, Live and The Freedom Sessions, an album with different versions of 8 songs.
Sarah's Lilith Fair tour this past summer brought her a lot of recognition as well as media attention. She is now on tour to promote Surfacing. Being the lucky person that I am, I got to see her in concert in Ottawa on October 25th. She played to a sold-out crowd. It's very difficult to describe her performance besides simply saying that it was AMAZING! She has all of the elements of a great performer: immense talent, wonderful stage presence and she really makes a connection with her audience. I know that I'm not the only one who was completely enthralled by her performance. She played for 2 hours straight, performing most of the songs from Surfacing and Fumbling Towards Ecstasy as well as a couple of songs from each of her other albums. What can I say, it was incredible : )
