As I got ready for my date with Tay, I comtemplated why I was so nervous. It was probably because it would be our first date. All the other times had been just as friends.

I waited nervously downstairs for him to get here. He finally arived a few minutes late.

"Sorry, I'm late. It took forever to convince Ike to drive us," he said.

"It's okay," I replied. We went out to the car. Ike just smiled and left us alone in the backseat. You'd think that now that the date had actually started, I'd be more at ease. Hell, no. I was still nervous. More nervous than I had ever been in my whole life.

We went to one of those pointless comedies. You know, the ones that seem like they'll be really funny, and turn out to be really dull? We sat like stones throughout the whole movie. I ket thinking that this was a huge mistake. We had nothing between us but friendship. Nothing more. I probably would have kept thinking these evil thoughts if Taylor hadn't made the next move.

He leaned over and softly placed his lips on mine. I was shocked beyond belief. This was something I had been dreaming of ever since I had first met him. And now, it was actually happening. I quickly responded so that he wouldn't think that I didn't enjoy it. God knows I did.

Almost too soon, the movie was over and we had to stop. I was depressed by this prospect, but I was immensely happy with what had just happened. I just hoped I wasn't dreaming.

We were silent in the car. It might have been because Ike was in the car. Or maybe I had dreamed it. But, what a dream!

When we got to my house, he walked me to my door.

"Daisy? Will you go out with me? As in girlfriend type thing?," Tay asked me, looking at his shoes.

"Yes," I replied. I couldn't believe he had actually asked me. It seemed like all my dreams were coming true at once.
