Sometimes I wonder if the earthquake hadn't happened if we would be this close. I guess sharing life-threatening experiences would bring anyone closer together.
Rachel and I were still best friends. She still lived in LA, but we kept in touch. Our friendship was damaged slightly by the Tay thing, but she isn't aware of that.
Tay wrote to tell me that he and his family were going to spend two weeks down there this summer. The whole summer if the album didn't take off. I wrote back and told him then he's only be down there two weeks, because the album was definitely going to take off. I was thinking this over when my mother walked into the room.
"Daisy? Can we talk?," asked Mom. By profession she's a teacher, but she homeschoold me, Rach, Evelyn, and Lonni.
"Sure. What's up?," I asked.
"I suppose you've noticed your father and I have been having problems," she said.
"Well, you have been fighting a lot latley. Why?," I asked.
"We've decided," she paused and swallowed hard. "We've decided that we'd be better of divorced," she said. I sat in xhock. Divorce?
"So, what will happen to me?," I asked.
"You'll be with me. Remember the Hansons? Well, Mrs. Hanson and I have been talking. She says that where she lives, you'll grow up very nicely. She lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma. So, we'll be moving there in a week," she said. She could tell I wanted to be alone for awhile, so she left.
I decided to get my mind off of the divorce by surfing the web. So, i signed on under White5065. Taylor was on-line. I instant messaged him.
White5065: Hi, Tay
Taylor690: Hey, Daisy. What's up?
White5065: my parents are getting a divorce.
Taylor690: Really? Who will you be with?
White5065: my mom. we're moving to guess where?
Taylor690: where?
White5065: Tulsa
Taylor690: you're kidding
White5065: nope. we'll be there when we get our stuff packed up.
Taylor690: I gotta go. Bye
White5065: Bye
