Rachel

~~~~Before the talk before.............
"Oh, gosh it's cold!" I said running out of the water. "Oh, no you don't." Tay said grabbing my arm, and pushing me under. "Ah! OK, smart guy, wanna be that way." I said pouncing on him, and dunking on him. Zac came behind Tay and jumped on him as they went into a wresling match in the water which I found pretty hysterical. "Oh, my gosh! Rachel?" A voice said behind me. "Hey, Jenny, yup it's her." Ike said staring behind me. I turned around to see a girl about my age. "It's really you isn't it?" She said giving me a hug. I had no idea who it was. I mouthed to Ike, and asked who she was. He mouthed back. "She lives down the street." He said. "Oh, wow, Jenny, yeah, I'm back for good, how did you reconize me? I sure didn't reconize you." I said. "You still sound like Tay does, you guys always had that smart alleck kinda way of saying things. I live down the street, we used to be great friends. You look great." She said. "Thanks, you too." I said. I really didn't remember this girl. "Oh, all the others will be so happy top see you again, I'll be right back." She said running up the beach. "Who the hell was she?" I asked Tay who was finally syanding up from the jump Zac had given him. "Don't you remember, "Pistol" we used to call her Pistol, because of the water gun fights we used to have. It came to me. "Oh, wow, that was her, she was much, more um." I said not being able to get the right word. "Fatter." Tay said ducking another blow from Zac. "Your straight foward aren't you?" I said. Zac was aiming for me now, but I had the experience. I went around Tay and hoped on his back. He went under in a flash. I let him up after a few seconds of torture. "Your gonna get it, sister!" He said running after me. I never realized how hard it was to run in water. "Rachel!" I heard a few people yell up the beach. "Zac chill out for a sec." I said. I looked up at the beach, and in the sand was like 15 people all yelling my name. "Come here." One of the guys yelled. "Ike who are they?" I asked. "Oh, come on, ask Tay, I'm 17, your 14." He said totally blowing it off. "Tay, who are they?" I asked. He was trying to do a backflip in 4-foot water. "Oh, wow, come on, you'll remember once you see them." Tay said grabbing my arm, and pulling me up shore. "Wait before I go up there, tell me who at least some of them are." I said. He didn't stop. "Tay!" I yelled. We were about 5 feet away from them. "He still treats you the same way, doesn't he Rach?" A boy, with light brown hair and sky blue eyes said. "I guess so." I said. "Who's that?" I asked through clenched teeth. "You don't remember John?" Tay said. "No, I don't." I said. "OK, you guys, she doesn't want to be rude, so I'm just gonna introduce you guys again, she'll remember once she knows the names, and some stuff." Tay announced to everyone. My jaw dropped. How could he do such a thing. "Tay, give up the brother crap, she remembers." One of the girls of petite size said. I didn't really know. They were complete strangers. But little by little, I remembered. "Wait a minute, ok, let me go through this." I said. I went to each one remembering some things about them. Some girls got teary eyed, but I just couldn't. I didn't remember too much. I remember John the most. He was the one who had a major crush on me when we were about 7, and would chase me around. "We were the group, weren't we?" I said recalling a name that reminded me of them. "Bingo!" Stephy said. I remembered all of them. "Come on Rach!" Zac yelled from the water. I ignored his comment. I started talking to them until I felt myself being tugged hard. "Help!" I pleaded as Zac dragged me into the water. "Why do you guys insist on dragging me eveI said. "Let's get her guys!" T.J said. They all came racing towards me. "No!" I yelled as I ran deeper into the water. I knew they were going to catch me, and that's the way I wanted it. I wanted it to be like this forever.
Tori
The next day, the Hansons met with my parents to discuss the move. It was decided that I'd move in tomorrow, and still go on tour with the Hansons this summer. And, since I'd be homeschooled, I'd still go with them in the fall. This news made me happy. I couldn't bear to be away from Ray and Taylor for too long. "You know, Tor, I bet you're really happy right now, " Ray said. "What makes you say tht?," I asked, curiously. "Well, first of all, you've got the best friends in the world, you found your real parents, and you're going out with the guy all girls are dreaming about," Ray said. "Yeah, but you got all that minus the boyfriend," I replied. "True, true," she said. I continued packing. I hadn't unpacked all that much, so moving it all to another place wouldn't be that hard.
~~~~~~~*The next morning*

"Tori, your parents are on the phone," Zac said shaknig me awake. "Mom, Dad?," I said, sleepily. "Tori, the Jacksons won't let us have you!"

Rachel

~~~~Still at the lake before everything happened........
"No!" I yelled running from all my old friends, the feeling of having them there was great, but there was somehting in the pit of my stomach that told me, that it just wasn't the same. But life goes on, and I have to face that. I was bombarded by people!!! It wasn't fair! "Hey, one against like 15!" I yelled!! "OK, then we're on your side." Zac said grabbing Tay and Ike's arms. "Oh, no, the Hanson's have teamed up! Run for your life!" John said running. This was the life!
~~~~~Back at home the next morning

"Rach, wake up." Zac whispered into my ear. "What's wrong Zac?" I groaned rolling on my back. "Tori, is crying, hard, I think you should help her." He said quietly. I sat up like a bullet. "Tor, whats wrong?" I asked gettin up. A dizzy spell came over me for getting up to fast. "The Jackson's won't let my parents have me back." She said getting up and facing me. "Oh, Tor." I said wrapping her in a hug. She cried and cried. This wasn't the way it was supposed to be. I had the time of my life yesterday, and Tori was supposed to be in it. "I've decided something...Zac, watch Tori for a sec." I said running out of the room still in my pajama's. I went downstairs to where Tay and Ike were watching cartoons. "Get upstairs now, you guys, Tori needs you." I said fiercly running to the phone. "What's wrong?" Ike asked. Tay was already up the stairs. "Just go Ike." I growled. He listened to what I said. I picked up the phone that hung on the wall next to the refrigerator. I recalled Tor's old phone number that she had told me the first day in New Jersey. "Hello." A soft vioce came from the other end. "Mrs. Jackson, this is Rachel." I said assertively. "Hello Rachel." She said, like ice. "Please, Mrs. Jackson, you are making this worse on Tori, look what I had to go through, it was for the better, but if you let her go now, she won't resent you for it, and she'll still come visit you, and love you for one thing, but if you don't let her go to her birth parents, you are hurting her even more." I said growing softer. "Please Rachel, don't do this to me." She said crying almost. "I need to, you have had her all these years, her real family needs a turn, please, Tori needs it." I said. She was crying I could hear her. I decided to add a little more. "You know, if you loved her, you'd give her up." I said. "Let me talk to Tori." She whispered through the phone. "Hon." I said running up the stairs. "Tori, your mom...I mean Mrs.Jackson, on the phone!" I said. This might work, it has to, how could I live without Tori, for a second time?

Tori

Tay was upstairs trying to comfort me. "Tor, it'll be okay, I promise. I won't let anything happen to you. Nothing or nobody is going to take you away from me. I promise," he said, kissing the top of my forehead. This speech only made me cry harder. I had just gotten him, now I was going to lose him. "Tori? Mrs. Jackson wants to talk to you," Ray said, coming into the room. I got up, and Ray and Taylor followed me downstairs. "Hello?," I asked, picking up the phone. "Tori? I'm so sorry. Rachel explained to me that you need to be with your real parents. Just don't forget we love you, OK?," she said. "Thanks, thanks a lot," I said, crying openly. I hung up the phone and turned around. Ray saw me crying and assumed the worst. "Ohmigod! You have to go back to Paramus. No, this can't be happening," she screamed. She hugged me tight. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Taylor running out of the room. "Ray, I'm staying. I'm staying,"I said, letting her go. I ran upstairs after him. He was in our room. "Tay? What's wrong?," I asked concerned. "You're leaving, and it only seems like we've just gotten together," he said. "I'm not leaving. Well, only going a few streets away. Thats all," I said softly. "You're not going back to NJ?," he asked. "No, I'm not," I replied. He jumped off the bed and wrapped me into a deep kiss.
