Reunion: Louks/Loucks 2001
Louks/Loucks Family Association
(founded
July, 1993)
2001 REUNION
The Association was formed at the first reunion held IN 1993 in Pt. Rowan, Ontario, to bring together all descendants of Louks/Loucks and create a pool for family genealogy. Our membership now has members from B.C. to Quebec and California to Cape Cod with a member in the U.K. The family genealogies forwarded to us on the registration list are put into a computer DATABASE to provide assistance on all queries that come to the Association. The Association puts out a newsletter and queries that come to us are answered directly by our contacts or are put in the newsletter to the membership.
We have formed a board of family
members that arrange a gathering every two years at a location chosen by
the membership. In 1997 we met at
Upper Canada Village, Morrisburg,
Ont. and on July 2nd and 3rd of 1999 we met at Highgate, Vermont. We bring
to the family gatherings information which the Association has obtained
and members with computers who try to assist families in attendance.
Those interested in attending the
2001 Reunion or joining the

JULY 2000
CASSELMAN FAMILY REUNION - 2000
CASSELMAN ANCESTRAL SOCIETY REUNION 2000
JULY 7,8 & 9, 2000
Sept 9, 1999
Dear Fellow Casselman or Friend;
The Casselmans are planning to hold a second major international
family reunion during July 7, 8 & 9, 2000 at Morrisburg in Eastern
Ontario. All Casselmans, Castlemans, and variants of the name, and their
descendants, both maternal and paternal, and friends, are invited to meet
and socialise with their relatives and friends and help to trace their
ancestry.
The first major Casselman Family reunion was held at Morrisburg in 1984 to expand and validate Casselman Family genealogy and to document and study the historical chronology of the family. It was a huge success. Upwards of 2000 people attended this event from Canada, Germany, the United States and France. This time the attendance is expected to exceed the number of people in 1984.
Please assist by making the reunion known to others who might be interested in attending. If possible, have it publicised in your local media.
One of the primary purposes of the Casselman Ancestral Society is to produce for posterity an accurate and extensive genealogical record of our family. If you are descended from this family, our genealogists want to be sure to include each one of you in the family tree. Several North American Casselman genealogists will be present at the 2000 Reunion.
Even if you are unable to attend, would you kindly take the time to fill out and return the enclosed pedigree chart to the CASSELMAN FAMILY REUNION 2000, BOX 607, TOWNSHIP OF SOUTH DUNDAS, MORRISBURG, ON, K0C 1X0.
The genealogists would also be interested in any other
general information or pictures which you might have regarding the family.
If you are registering, please return the enclosed chart with your
registration form.
The family is presently establishing a computerised database. If you have your family genealogy on a computerised database, it would be appreciated if you would send it in a computerised format along with the chart so it can be entered directly into the computerised database.
If you plan to attend, please complete the attached registration form. Kindly indicate your interests too. This will assist us in finalising our plans. If you require confirmation of your registration or additional information, please send a self-addressed, stamped envelope. You can also request this information via e-mail: mornet18@mor-net.on.ca
