Other info: Basil Strader was a member of the Board of Stewards of Brinston United Church, served as a District Deputy Grand Marshall of Connaught Lodge No 440 I.O.O.F, a member of Columbian Encampment No. 77 of Prescott and Friendly Brothers No. 143 A.F.& A.M. of Iroquois, and served on the Board of Matilda Township Council.
He owned a dairy farm one mile east of Brinston and specialized in registered Holstein Cattle.  Funeral services were conducted from his residence to Brinston United Church with Rev. F. W. Taylor, Pastor, officiating.  Assisted by Rev. Wm. Lister, of Matilda South.  Rev. E. C. Lacy of Williamsburg (his former pastor) was also present.
