ADAM MCINTYRE (seated) is the lead singer & guitar player of Drivin' South. Adam's influences are firmly rooted in the blues of the Mississippi Delta, while utilizing the power of rock guitarists (Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page) to fuel Drivin' South's power rock. BRIAN HINTON (left) is another guitarist who envokes the memory of Jimi Hendrix, but also melds his Phish influences into the music while wowing the crowds with his soulful playing. FREDDIE SMITH (right) skillfully holds down the very bottom of the groove with his funky five string bass. ERIC STROUD (middle) is a strong drummer with a vast musical collection, which makes for an eclectic style that gels the band together.
DRIVIN' SOUTH began as a power-blues band in Montgomery, Alabama but is now shifting gears into a rock band with a bluesy soul. Drivin' South played at this year's Jubilee Cityfest and put on an incredible performance at the "Battle Of The Bands".
