TEC
Automobildesign Corrado Syncro
This is TEC's 250bhp G60 Corrado Syncro. It incorporates
VW's 4-wheel drive from its Golf Rallye that was only available in Europe.
They stitched on a Rallye Golf floorpan onto a Corrado shell and then proceeded
to tune the engine and suspension. The suspension consists of Koni adjustable
dampers with Eibach racing springs. The wheels are Azev Type A measuring
17 x 7.5" in front and 17 x 8.5" in back shod with 215/45 and 245/40 rubber
respectively. As for the engine, they upped the displacement to 2044cc and
increased the compression. They also gas flowed the combustion chambers and
reworked the head. However, the real beauty of this car is in the drivetrain.
It uses VW's viscous 4-wheel drive that senses wheelslip up front and sends as
much as 50 percent of the power to the rear wheels. This car is capable of 0-60
mph in under 6 secs. TEC has a 300bhp Corrado Syncro currently in the works.
