James Hoffmeir's GTI

This is the 1996 GTI 8v of James Hoffmeir. Although not the top-notch VR6, the 2.0l 4-banger is still potent. To add to its power, he's added a Neuspeed P-Flo with Ramair filter, a Neuspeed P-chip, Neuspeed 260 degree cam, Neuspeed plug wires, a Remus exhaust, and a polished intake manifold. The real impact of this car is in the exterior. He used the Spax 24-way adjustable suspension to drop the car and added Neuspeed 25/28mm f/r anti roll bars as well as a Neuspeed upper front tie-bar and rear triangulated bar. Rolling stock are Abt A7 measuring 17 x 7.5" shod in Yokohama A510 of the 205/40-17 variety. He's added an Abt headlight conversion, Abt grille, Abt front airdam, Abt rear wing, Projektzwo mirrors, Hella blue turn signals, Hella blue tailamps, Kamei airscoops, and color-matched the door handles, upper wing, and rear valence. As for the interior, he's added a Momo Race steering wheel, OBX blue pedals, and Schroth harnesses. A very well executed 8v.
