This is one of, if not the only, VR6 Turbo Cabrios in the world. The conversion was handled by VW Sport of Alexandria, Virginia. The owner, Brad Beardrow, had them stuff a VR6 engine into a Cabrio shell. Don't believe me? Check out the engine bay.
They then added an EIP tuning VR6 Turbo kit @ 12 psi. They also added a VW Sport Power-flow intake, EIP throttle
body, EIP intake manifold, Techtonics Stainless exhaust and custom e-prom to round out the engine modifications.
They have also added some fancy electronics such as a GReddy Turbo Timer and a GReddy ProFec boost controller.
As for the suspension, they used Abt coilovers with an Abt front tie bar and Neuspeed antiroll bars.
To slow down from supersonic speeds, they uprated the brakes, using AP Racing 13" rotors with 4-pot calipers in front and Neuspeed x-drilled rotors in back and Neuspeed stainless brake lines.
To get all that power to the ground, they dropped in a Euro-spec 6 speed tranny with a Quaife differential, a Neuspeed short shift kit, and slapped on a set of Abt A24 5-spokes measuring 18 x 8" shod with ultra-low profile 225/35 ZR 18 Pirelli P-Zero Assimetricos.
Exterior refinements include a full respray in Audi Aluminum Silver Metallic Paint, custom widened fenders, Projektzwo dual headlights, Abt grill, Abt front air dam, Projektzwo aerodynamic mirrors, shaved side bumper lenses, Kamei front air scoops, Hella smoked tailights and turn signals, and dual Genie DTM tips.
Interior additions are Porsche Speedster seats clad in leather and color matched, Schroth 3-point harnesses and pads, Momo Top Power Silver steering wheel, Abt shift knob, Abt gauge faces, Abt gauge panel in the factory radio din, VDO white-face Oil Pressure and Voltage gauges, SPI white-face Boost gauge, European headlight switch, aluminum dash kit, the radio has been moved to the passenger side airbag, a European center console, Abt floormats and an Abt pedal set with dead pedal.
