Summary

Pokémon I Choose You!

In this episode you meet Ash, Pokémon's young hero. He is ready to leave on his pokémon journey, but first he must choose a pokémon to start with. Since he's too late for the pokémon he wants, he get a Pikachu ^_^ who doesn't like him very much. After a vicious battle with some Spearows, Pikachu is injured and Ash rushes to bring him to the Pokémon Center. (Ash also happens to steal Misty's bike during all of this.)

Pokémon Emergency!

Ash finds himself in Viridian City. With Pikachu injured, he rushes to the Pokémon Center and gets there just in time ... for trouble. While Pikachu heals, Ash talks to the prof, argues with Misty about her bike, and meets .. TADA!! TEAM ROCKET! for the first time. They seem pretty strong at first, but Ash manages to keep everyone safe in the end, (with the help of Pikachu!)

Ash Catches a Pokémon

Ash ... well ... catches a Pokémon. A Caterpie to be exact and Misty doesn't like it.

Challenge of the Samurai

Ash and Misty meet a samurai boy in the forest. He challenges Ash and says he's weak. They wake up a few Beedrills (which really hurt when they sting,) and Team Rocket, as always, doesn't do very well. Metapod evolves into Butterfree!

Showdown in Pewter City

Ash and Misty head into Pewter and meet a man who goes, "HA HA HA. You wish to challenge Brock, the Pewter City gym leader?" Well, Ash does, and loses. Then the man powers up Pikachu, and he tries again. He wins, (unfairly,) and gets a badge. After it turns out that the man is Brock's dad, Brock leaves Pewter to travel with Ash and Misty.

Clefairy and the Moon Stone

This has everything.
  • a poetic scientist
  • bouncing baby clefairy
  • Team Rocket's dumb ideas
  • outer space adventures
  • and even lots of evolving.
What else do you need?

The Water Flowers of Cerulean City

Misty doesn't want to go to Cerulean? Why? Because he stuck up sisters live there, and they think she's the little runt. Well, she shows them. She foils Team Rocket's idea (of a big vacuum) and all.

The Path to the Pokémon League

Ash challenges AJ, a very fierce trainer from his own personal gym. After Ash gets beaten, it's AJ's 99th win. Team Rocket helps him get his 100th and he and Ash head toward more badges.

The School of Hard Knocks

Ooh! Ooh! The Pokémon Academy! I love this episode. Not only do all of the students have really shiny hair, I think it's also a very well thought out episode.

Bulbasaur and the Hidden Village

This is the first episode of what I call the "Starting Pokémon Mini-Series." In this episode, Ash and the crew will meet Bulbasaur, who is protecting the Hidden Village. The village is run by a pretty lady, who Brock falls in love with... (Misty seems to get a kick out of that.)

Charmander the Stray-Pokémon

Dameon is a really, really, really, really mean trainer. He abandoned Charmander just because he was weak at first. When Charmander finally realizes that, he goes with Ash.

Here Comes the Squirtle Squad

"The Squirtles would never change a girl's natural hair color." Part 3 of the Starting Pokémon Mini-Series.

Mystery of the Lighthouse

This episode always bothers me, and I'm not sure why. Team Rocket is really mean in this one, and the "giant pokémon" is really sad. Nothing in this episode is very happy.

Electric Shock Showdown

Pikachu... fighting .. ACH! RAICHU!? That's not fair! But, he'll do alright.

Battle aboard the St. Anne

St. Anne? That's a ski resort in Canada ... Wasn't it SS Anne in the game? Well.. that doesn't really matter.. This is part one of a new little mini-series I call "The Shipwreak Episodes."

Pokémon Shipwreck

This is mostly on the water, and has a lot to do with the Magikarp. Never .. ever .. kick a Magikarp!

Island of the Giant Pokémon

Part 3 of the Shipwreak Episodes, with lots of giant Pokémon. It doesn't really make too much sense .. especially when Jesse and James are in the phone booth and they try to drag themselves to safety.

Tentacool and Tentacruel

Misty gets a new Pokémon and he warns her of the Tentacool problem. The new resort is destroying the homes of the tenacool, so they want revenge. There's a really scary lady in this episode...

The Ghost of Maiden's Peak

The ghost is supposed to stay on the peak waiting for her long lost love to return. During the celebration, she comes back and James and Brock think she's so pretty...

Bye Bye Butterfree

This episode is sad. Butterfree falls in love with the pink butterfree, but she doesn't want to be near him. Finally, she falls in love too and they leave together.

Abra and the psychic Showdown

Probably one of my all time favorite episodes. It has to do with Sabrina the psychic pokémon gym leader. It's sort of like when Ash tried to fight Brock, but it's done so much cooler. It's very mysterious.

The Tower of Terror

Can't fight an Abra with your Pikachu? We've got the solution. In Part 2 of the Sabrina episodes Ash becomes a ghost and "catches" a ghost pokémon

Haunter verses Kadabra

Part 3 of the Sabrina episodes. Haunter fights the the Kadabra. Well .. not really. Haunter sort of fights Sabrina .. either way, a chilling (okay not really) conclusion to these episodes.

Primeape goes Bananas

Don't look a Primeape in the eyes .. trust me .. As they say, he goes bananas.

Pokémon Scent-sation

I love this episode. James crossdressing is funny, but ASH crossdressing is the FUNNIEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN ON THIS SHOW!! Once again he gets a badge for doing nothing.

Hypno's Naptime

I like this episode. It has a good plot and Misty acting like a seal was just priceless. Hypno's fanclub wants to fall asleep but something is going seriously wrong with the children of the town..

Pokémon Fashion Flash

Now THIS is a funny episode. Wait until you see Koffing and Ekans wearing makeup and dresses! AHAHAA. AND THEN YOU SEE MISTY TOO!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!

The Punchy Pokémon

Hitmonchan is a very talented fighting pokémon who belongs to a very talented man. Unfortunately, he doesn't pay any attention to his daughter. Ash helps them out.

Sparks fly for Magnemite

If a Magnemite fell in love with your Pikachu wouldn't you be scared too?

Dig those Digletts

UGH! I'm so sick of this episode. For some reason I never miss it. It's just a bunch of Diglett and Dugtrio going "Dig Diglett Dig Diglett TRIO TRIO TRIO!" and Gary .. ew Gary ... with his annoying fanclub who sings "Gary doesn't dig those Diglett, OH NO!"

The Ninja-Poke Showdown

Psyduck is the best pokémon who has a headache all the time! (Okay, he's the only one, but that's not the point.) He'll save the day at an old looking Japanese castle.

The flame Pokémon-athon!

Ash and a Ponyta? That spells trouble. After getting burned a few times they finally "warm up" to each other and he rides her in the race for Lara.

The Kangaskhan Kid

If you don't mind some dopey parents and an annoying kid yelling KANGAS KANGAS KHHHAAAAANN!! then this episode is for you. It's not my favorite, but it's not too bad. At least there's a happy ending.

The Bridge Bike Gang

Big Jess?!! Little Jim!?!? AHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAA!! I love this episode because it shows what Jessie and James were like as kids, (sort of.) Either way, it's really funny.

Ditto's Mysterious Mansion

PREPARE FOR TROUBLE, AND MAKE IT DOUBLE DOUBLE! Problems with a silly Ditto getting you down? Let Team Rocket blast some sense into him.

The Battling Eevee Brothers

Ash, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu find an Eevee. They return it to it's owner who's just a little boy. His brothers want him to evolve it, but he doesn't want to. Ash and Pikachu help him make his choice.

Wake up Snorlax!

A strange episode having to do with Psyduck, a big fat Snorlax, and a clogged stream. I don't understand why the water wouldn't just go around the Snorlax ..

Showdown at Dark City

Dark City.. It's really dark, and they don't like Pokémon trainers very much there.. See how Ash and the crew fair in this .. uh .. Dark City .. by watching the episode.

March of the executor Squad

I don't really like this episode much. The magician reminds me of Woody Allen, but chubbier. He always sounds like he's swallowing cotton. And his tricks are so stupid. As he says "[Team Rocket] looks more like magicians than I do."

The problem With Paras!

Team Rocket act a little like good guys! Only because Meowth wants to be top cat though. They help a little Paras to evolve.

The Song of Jigglypuff

That song is so catchy. Basically, Jigglypuff wants to sing for everyone, but whenever she does, she makes them fall asleep ... then she writes on them with marker ..

The Prehistoric Pokémon

CHARIZARD NOW?! WILL HE EVER STOP??! I don't get it though .. Why DID he evolve? (This episode is about old pokemon ... hehe) Ash and some of the others fall into a hole, (sound familiar?) but this time it's a big hole and there are Prehistoric Pokémon inside.

Holy Matrimony!

Something about this episode seriously bothered me ... On the other hand, it was a great gag and was really funny. That lady who was going to marry James though ... ugh ..

So Near, Yet So Farfetch'd

There's trouble with a Farfetch'd in the woods. It seems his owner and him are stealing other Pokémon. Why? I don't really know.
