The good-looking guy turned around, Linds smile was starting to fade. The guy turned out to be Nick.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Linds said very set and upset.
Nick didn't answer, all he did was stare at her.
"So are you going to answer me or not?" Linds was getting a bit impacient.
Still no answer from Nick. Suddenly someone came up beside him with two glasses of punch in their hand. "Here you go, Nick" they said without even paying attention to whom she was talking to.
"Nicole?" Linds shouted. She was almost in tears. "What are you two doing here......together?" By the time Linds said that, tears were filling up her cheeks.
"Please don't cry, Linds. And if you wanna be mad at anyone, make it me, not Nick," Nicole said.
"How can you expect me to not be mad at this?" by this time Nick was crying and yelling at the same time. The whole club heard everything she was saying, but she didn't care. She was so mad, she didn't really care about anything else at that point, except for what was happening between Nick and Nicole.
"Linds, common, it's nothing to worrie about," Nick tried to calm her down.
"Nothing?" Linds yelled "You call this nothing? Nick, think of how I feel, you told me you had to do something tonight and we were supposed to go out and celebrate our anniversary, but I guess I mean nothing to you if you are gonna just cancel our relationship like this. I thought you really loved me. I wasted so much of my time with you. You meant a lot to me, but now its all a blur, our whole relationship is just a big old blur! And you.....," she said while her eyes trailed over to Nicole. "You are my best friend. I trusted you and you did this to me?" Linds couldn't take the pressure any longer. She ran out of the club before Nicole could speak her peace and she ran straight home.

On her way home, Linds was spotted by Brian.
"Hey, Linds! Is that you?" Brian asked and drove up to Nick.
Linds wasn't in an exactly good mood to talk, but she didn't want Brian to be offended if she didn't say anything, so she said, "Yea, Brian, it's me," in the not so pleasant, not so happy voice she uses when she's upset.
"Hop in," Brian said while pointing to the seat next to him. "I don't want you to be walking in the dark at night time."
"I'm fine, Brian, really," Linds said to Brian.
"I am not gonna let you walk around in the dark this late at night. Please! Come in here, for me."
"Okay, fine," Linds agreed with the same hurt and upset expression she had on her face since she caught Nick and Nicole together.
Linds hopped into Brian's car and Brian started to take off.
"Thank you," said Brian, "I would not like to see my best friend's girl get hurt or harmed in any way," Brian said to Linds with an 'I care' kinda smile on his face. But the smile suddenlt faded when he looked over at Linds. She didn't have any expression on her face at all. It looked as if she was thinking really hard about something and not even paying attention to anything that Brian was saying. That got Brian a bit offended, but to get her attention, he had to do something, so he put his hand on Linds' sholder.
Instead of getting Linds' attention, she gasped because she was staring off into space when she felt Brian touch her.
"Oh my gosh," Linds said after she came back into reality. "Brian you practically scared me there."
"I can see that," Brian laughed because he never expected her to jump just when he put his hand on her shoulder. "But how come you were out of it just now?"
"Are you sure you wanna know?" Linds asked Brian.
"Yes I am sure. If I wasn't sure, then I wouldn't consider you my best friend's girlfriend., now are you?" Brian said to Linds which was definately the wrong thing to say.
"No," Linds said sternly.
"See....I knew you were gonna say y......Wait a second! What did you just say? NO!?" Brian said thinking Linds had said yes.
"Yea, Brian, that is what I just said, I am not Nick's girl anymore." Linds started to shed some tears again.
"What? Why?" Brian was really getting worried for both Linds and Nick because he always thought that their love would never fade.
Linds explained the whole story. Details for details.
After she finished, Brian asked, "Are you sure that was Nick? I can't believe him. He has never done anything like that before."
"I am just as shocked as you."
Brian pulled into Linds' driveway. "We're here!" he stated.
"Thanks Brian. I realy appreciate the ride. But you didn't have to."
"I know I didn't have to, but I wanted to. No matter if you are Nick's girl or not, you are still my friend and I care about you."
"WoW!!! Brian, that was so sweet," Linds said and gave Brian a kiss on his right cheek.
Brian returned the kiss, but he didn't see that Linds had turned her head and he mistakingly kissed Linds on the lips.
Linds didn't know that Brian did it by mistake, but she liked it, and Brian must have liked it too because they both leaned in for another kiss.
