Chapter Fourteen

Linds picked up the phone and dialed Alyssa's number.

"Hello?" Alyssa answered.

"Hey girl! Whatcha up to?" Linds asked.

"Oh, Hey Linds," Alyssa said in an excited voice. "Nothing much. How are you doing?"

"Not so good. I can't decide on anything to wear. Can you please help me?"

"Sure!" Alyssa agreed. "I will be right over. Catcha later."

"Thanks," Linds said and hung up the phone.

About ten minutes later, Linds heard a knock at the door.

"Be right there," Linds yelled from upstairs. Linds was going crazier than ever. She had never acted like such a nut.

While trying to calm herself down, she ran to the door. "Hi!" she said with a lot of her energy.

"WoW! How much sugar have you been eating today? You got so much energy in you. And why can't you decide on anything?" Alyssa asked.

"Well, I think it's because of Nick. I mean, I have never felt so nervous before in my entire life. Things just seem to be very stressing. I have no idea of anything to wear. And the thing with Nicole is really striking me..." Linds jabbered on.

"Okay, okay, Linds." Alyssa calmed her down. "Calm down. There is nothing to be nervious about. You love Nick and you are his girlfriend. How can you be nervous over nothing? And the thing with Nicole, don't even think about it. Just do whatever you feel is right. She was wrong to take Nick from you. Just let her be."

"I guess you're right," Linds agreed, as she said calming down. "Now, all I need to do is decide on something to wear and the clock is ticking."

"You're right. We only got two hours. Yea, we are running late." Alyssa said, sarcastically.

"Alyssa...." Linds cried.

"Aight, Aight! I am sorry. Now, come with me. We gotta get you straightened out." Alyssa said running towards the bathroom with Linds following behind her.

It took about an hour, but Alyssa had gotten Linds ready for the dance. She had helped Linds with her nails, make-up, woredrobe and acessories. "What do you think?" Alyssa asked as Linds was admiring herself in the mirror.

"I love it. Girl, you got the right styles."

"BOOYA!!" Alyssa teased!

Linds laughed.

"Linds," Alyssa started. "I really have to go. I didn't realize, but I only got about an hour left. "Brian is supposed to pick me up soon and I am not ready at all. So, I am gonna go now and I will talk to you later. Good luck with you and Nick."

"Thanks," Linds said. "Wait a sec!" She called to Alyssa who was just about to leave Linds' house. "Who are you going to the dance with?"

"Um....Brian," Alyssa said stuttering. "I am sorry, but he asked me after you and Nick got back together and I said yes."

"That is great, girl. I think you and Brian make a cute couple. You better go and not keep him waiting. He deserves every minute he can get to spend with you."

Alyssa smiled. "Thanks. I hope we have a good time. All four of us. I will see you later."

"Bye," Linds said.
