There was a knock at Linds door. By this time, Linds was calmed down and prepared to go to the dance. She got up off the couch and opened the door. She was very happy to see who was at the other side.
"Hey Cutie!" Nick greeted Linds. "Are you ready?" He asked.
"Yea. All ready to go. Lemme just get my purse and we are off." Linds said running back over to the couch to pick up her purse. "Ready," she announced with her purse in her hands, closing the door behind her as she left.
Both of them went over to the car. Nick opened the door for Linds and she got in. "Thank you" she said. Then Nick got in. He put the keys in the egnition, started the car and cranked up the music. The song "Angel of Mine" was on.
"You're my angel." Nick said to Linds as he was pulling out of her driveway and on to the road.
"Oh...." Linds swooned. "That is so sweet."
Nick smiled to her. "I love your outfit." Nick said admiring Linds' slit dress.
"Thanks. Alyssa helped me out with it." Linds laughed, "I was kinda in a jam without her.
"That's kewl. Brian kinda helped me out with my outfit too." Nick said. He was wearing a blue jacket, with a black shirt, and blue pants (just like the As Long As You Love Me video with the chair routine).
"And he did a very nice job." Linds added.
About twenty minutes later, they pulled into the school parking lot. They both got out of the car and walked into the dance, with Nick's arm around Linds' waiste.
"Hey you guys," Nick and Linds her from behind them. They turned around and Brian was standing right behind them, dancing, was Alyssa and Brian.
"OH...Hi! You guys look so cute together." Linds said making a compliment.
Alyssa gave Linds an eye jesture to shut up. Linds cought it and silenced herself.
"How long have you guys been here?" Nick asked motioning to Brian.
"Oh, I would say about fifteen minutes."
"Kewl." Nick said.
All four of them started to dance and hang out together. After about ten songs, the D.J. called for Nick and his group to come on stage and sing.
"I gotta go, babe." Nick said to Linds.
"Okay. I will be watching. Knock em dead!" Linds said giving Nick a kiss on the cheek.
"Hey," he objected. "A kiss on the cheek won't help for this. I need a big wet one," he said pointing to his lips.
Linds agreed as she laid a wet one on Nick.
"Now, that was a little more than I was hoping for, but I think that will make me feel good when I go up on stage."
"You'll do fine." Linds assured him as Nick was leaving for the stage.
