Chistopher Crosby Farley was born in Madison,WI on Feb.15,1964 to his parents Mary Ann and Thomas.As a kid Chris was shy.But soon that would change.Most of his life he is going to be the center of attention. Chris graduated high school in 1982 and soon set out for college. He chose Marquette University in Milwaulkee.He graduated with a degree in theatre and communications.From there, he began his theatre work. While Chris was doing theatre work at Second City Theatre the creater and producer of Saturday Night Live,Lorne Micheals,seen his work.He absoulutly loved him and wanted him to join the SNL cast.Chris first appeared on SNL in 1990. While on SNL Chris created millions of laughs and memorable characters such Matt Foley,modivational speaker,the insecure host of The Chris Farley Show and was in my all time favorite sketch,Barney in the Chippendales dancer skit.He also became friends with David Spade which later in life was in 2 of Farley's movies. Chris was on SNL from 1990 to 1995.He left with other favorites such as Adam Sandler and Kevin Nealon to fulfill his movie career.He was already in Billy Madison,Coneheads,Airheads,and Wayne's World 1&2.But now he starred in my favorite movies,Tommyboy,Black Sheep,and Beverely Hills Ninja.(and soon to be Almost Heroes and This Dog's Life) During his last year in life,it was a downward spiral.People say he was in terrible shape and more overweight than ever.He was more into drugs and was rarely sober.He was under a 24 hour bodyguard when he was filming Almost Heroes so he wouldn't drink.Chris was planning to stop everything in 1998.But he didn't make it.Chris was discovered by his brother,John,in his apartment in the John Hancock building.He was pronounced dead at the scene.He was only 33. Chris's death was caused by a cocaine and morphine overdose.No traces of alcohol was found.It was a complete accident. His funreal took place Dec 22,1997.Celebrities such as Chris Rock and Dan Ackroyd made their way there to pay their last respects. One thing that shocked me was that David Spade did not attend.He said that, "I just couldn't stand seeing Chris in a box." Chris's life was too short.He had a bright career ahead of him. He was quoted of saying,"I want to live fast and die young." His wish came true.We miss you Chris!
