6 C. flour
2 pkg. dry yeast
1 T. sugar
1 1/2 t. soda
2 C. milk
1/2 C. warm water
1/2 t. butter flavoring
cornmeal

In large bowl, combine 3 cups flour,
yeast, sugar, salt and soda, stir
well. In small sauce pan, heat milk
and water, till very warm, add
flavoring. Gradually add milk
mixture to dry ingredients, mixing
on low speed of mixer for 2 to 3
min. Stir in enough remaining flour
to make a soft dough. Divide dough
in half, shape each into a loaf.
Grease 2 (8 1/2 X 4 1/2 X 3 inch)
pans, sprinkle bottom and sides with
cornmeal. Place dough into prepared
pans. Sprinkle tops lightly with
cornmeal, cover and let rise in warm
place free from drafts, 45 min. or
until double in bulk. Heat oven to
400 F. Bake 25 to 30 min.
