Cakes & Pies Dutch Apple Pie

Recipe Ingredients


Filling:

7 or 8 tart cooking apples
3 T. butter, melted
3/4 C. sugar
1/2 t. cinnamon
1 T. cornstarch

Streusel Topping:

1/2 C. flour
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/3 C. brown sugar, packed
1/4 C. butter




Recipe Directions


Preheat oven to 400 F.
Peel and slice apples. Melt butter in saucepan, add apples, and toss about until each slice is coated with butter. Mix sugar, cinnamon and cornstarch well. Then toss with the apples. Pour into pastry lined pie pan.

Streusel Topping:

Mix well all ingredients. Sprinkle the crumbly mixture over top of apples. Bake for 45 min.
