Suboshi is the opposite of his older brother - violent, determined,
and reckless. He loves his brother greatly, since his brother took
the trouble to raise him at a very young age after their parents died.
He has only anger and hatred towards Miaka and the Suzaku seishi, who
have caused him much grief (least, that's how he sees it). Towards
the end he falls in love with Yui, but Yui never really realizes it
until it is too late.
