Gary Allan
At the age of 13 Gary was playing in the bars at night. He
would have to stand outside of the bar when the band took
their breaks because he was so young. At the age of 15 he
was offered a record deal. His dad,Harley told him he
needed to wait so he could develope his own sound and
style. So he put it off for a few more years. It was well
worth the wait because there is nobody,in my opinion that
can touch his style or sound! In 1996 his first single came
out titled "Her Man." Soon following was the single "From
Where I'm Sitting" and "Forever And A Day" in 1997.His
cd that these songs are on is titled"Used Heart For Sale."
What an awesome cd! You must go and get this one. His
second cd is titled "It Would Be You." And I just can't say
enough about this one except for..WAY TO GO GARY!!
It's wonderful! Gary is divorced with 3 little girls.
Maggie,Dallas and Tanna all live with their mom in Utah.
Gary still makes time for his girls although he is on the road
most of the time. Gary's mom is named Mary and what a
wonderful lady she is. His dad as I mentioned earlier is
named Harley. Although I haven't had the pleasure to chat
with him I have heard that he is a really great person! Greg
and Betty are Gary's brother and sister-in-law and are a
couple of really great people! They crack me up everytime I
have ever chatted with them! Tammy is Gary and Greg's
sister and she is a very sweet and caring person as they all
are. His whole family will make you want to be part of them
but not just because of Gary. Once you get to chatting with
them you'll see just how lucky Gary is to have such a
wonderful family. Gary's band is called The Honky Tonk
Wranglers. Man, are they ever a bunch of great guys. Jake is
really funny and considerate. He plays a mean lead guitar.
Gary Hewitt is the charmer with a killer smile! He plays
bass guitar. When you get a chance to go and see them watch
for his smile. Jody is really sweet guy who everyone loves
and he also plays lead guitar. Ollie is kinda quiet when you
first meet him but once he remembers your face you're in for
it cause he is the funny guy of them all. He plays the
awesome fiddle! Lee is the drummer. He is really cool.
You'll have to chat with him sometime. And then there is my
friend Mike! Mike is very quiet and bashful. I just consider
him a wiseman. He sits quietly and listens to all that is being
said and never throws his opinion out there like it's nothing.
Mike is really awesome on the steel guitar. You must go and
see these guys in concert if you haven't already. You'll get
your moneys worth! And if you already have seen them,I'm
sorry that you're having withdraws! You know how to get
rid of them, right? Go again and again! Gary and guys, y'all
are great and keep it up!!
