DEPUTY CHRIS CASTETTER

Deputy Chris Castetter was shot and killed on November 27, 1996. Dep. Castetter was responding to a suspicious vehicle call. He was unaware that the operator of the vehicle had just assaulted his wife and was awaiting her return. The perp was apparently outside his vehicle. As Dep. Castetter pulled up, the perp opened the door to Dep. Castetter's cruiser and shot him in the head. He is survived by his wife and three children.
