How did all this begin?
These times we spend together
The joy we know so deep inside
It just couldn’t get any better
They have doubts about what we have
It’s the kinda thing only two great buds can share
But I say: "just let the cynics try to find,
Try to find a closer pair anywhere"

It doesn’t bother me at all
To be constantly misunderstood
They don’t understand how I feel
I only wish they could
I don’t think it’s quite enough
To only drop lines like: "I care"

The things we feel do not compare

It’s simply love, love pure and true
Simply love is what I feel, what I feel for you
Why can’t I simply say, simply say I’m in love with you

Than the occasional: "I like you"

Time will bring some changes
But never a change of heart
The distances may grow between us
But we will never grow apart
How can I begin to explain to them
The way it is for you and me
The years will never dull our feelings

And when you feel like you can’t go on

That our friendship cannot be broken

Yes, it’s love between friends
A wonderful reality

It’s simply love, love that works both ways
Simply love that will never, will never ever faze
Don’t let them say this is, say this is only a passing craze
The world can witness for itself that we will last, will last
Beyond all our days

Simply endure
Simply smile
Simply hope
Simply embrace what
