I missed my exercise today for the first time in a while. I woke up with a killer migraine. One so bad that I actually hurled. That is the first time I have had one that bad in quite some time.

Looks like I finally know what they are going to do with me down at the school. The previous aide in the therapy tank resigned last Friday, and the teacher in there requested me. I really liked it when I was a sub and got to sub in there. It is always different each day because you work with different kids every twenty minutes and do different things with them depending on their disability. One day a week we will do APE (adapted physical education) with all of the special education classes. It sure will be different from what I did the last two years. Keep the faith ;)

Sorry it has been a whole week since I was here. Things are just so busy. I can't believe I return to work in only 2 weeks from today. Then the kids start back to school the following Monday.

I went down to the school to see if I was going to be working in the therapy tank this school year. The principal is still dicking me around. He asked if I would be willing to work in my old room for 1/2 a day. I told him no way. I just couldn't handle that. I don't understand what is going on. I know it will be difficult to fill my slot, but it wouldn't be near as difficult if they put a different teacher there. I just hope things work out. He said he was about 90% sure I would be in tank and to go home and not worry about it. I just can't believe that with us starting back to work in only two weeks he can't let me know for sure. Especially with the teacher requesting me I can't believe he will only put my in there 1/2 a day. She won't be happy about that. Keep the faith ;)

I'm waiting for Joe to get home sometime today. He has been out west since 28 Jul. At least that is when they left. The last we heard he was in Deadwood, Wyoming on Tuesday. Yobo was hoping Joe would get home last night so he could see him. Now he won't get to see Joe til tomorrow because he is working today. I sure will be glad to see Joe. I sure have missed that boy.

The weather here sure has been weird. We had a week of typical MD August weather. Hot and humid with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Now this week it is supposed to be cooler than normal. This whole summer has been weird. Most of the time has been cooler than normal and a lot of rain.

I am waiting to hear from a couple I know in Germany. The husband is in the Army. Nancy, the wife, used to be the media specialist at the elementary school here. She and I got pretty close. I got an email from Wally, her husband, this morning that they were on their way to the hospital. She is having their second child. I do believe it is another boy, but I really can't remember. Keep the faith ;)

Long time no see. Things have been hectic here. School shopping for kids (only 2 of them this year) and trying to get myself ready to return to work hasn't been easy. I returned to work on Tuesday, and the kids return to school on Monday.

I did get the job in the therapy tank. We will be in the therapy tank 4 days a week working with kids. On Thursdays we have adapted physical education at the elementary school and travel up to the high school to do it with the special education children there. On Tuesday and Fridays we also have to travel to the middle school and do it with the special education students there. I am also in charge of school store and have to do bus duty, cafeteria duty and laminating.

The dieting has gone no where. As you can well imagine, there was food aplenty around down there this week. I did manage to stay away from most of it (even the donuts). However, we did go out to lunch every day. One day I just came home, two days I had salad, and yesterday I had an open face hot meatloaf sandwich. I brought half of it home for lunch on of these weekend days. Things will settle down once everyone gets back in the groove and I should get back to my Y schedule. Keep the faith ;)
