Chapter Twelve The Angels ( back to Zac's POV) I sat sorting through letters. There were several crazed fans letters, one even asked me to marry them. Then an official looking envolope caught my attention. I ripped it open and saw that the publishing company I had sent Lee's story to decided that they would publish it. I jumped for joy and then went to tell Ike. Ike wasn't in the backyard, but the blanket he was lying on still lay there. I layed down on it and looked up at the stars. I noticed the twinkling beautities and then I noticed what appeared to be a shooting star or meteoriod falling directly down on me. I was truly scared but I couldn't take my eyes off the glowing object. It seemed to slow down as it got closer. Then all of a sudden it stopped directly above me, just floating in air. Soon the brightness faded to just dull glow. Inside the glow I saw Lee. She was adorned in white robes and ha the biggest grin on her face. "You did it Zac, you did it. Now I'm an angel. thank you so much." "Sure it was all I could do, I felt so guilty for your death." "Zac it would have happened regardless of anything you did. I just wanted to thank. Is there anything that you want me to do for you?" thoughts raced in my mind and finally I thought of the thing I wanted most."Lee could you tell my Grandma in heaven that we all love and miss her." "Of course she whispered." Then she lightly kissed me directly on the lips."This will protect you from all evil," she explained. As soon as those words were uttered she floated back up, like a bech ball under water into the heavens and the brightness increased. Right before she went out of view there was a bright flash, like her winking goodbye to me. I sat back and thought of what had just happened. I closed my eyes and drifted off into a world of dreams. My eyes flicked open when I felt someone gently tap my shoulder. I looked over and again the person glowed like gold. "Grandma?" "Yes, Zac it's me." "Grandma, I missed you so much." I put my arms around her and hugged her as tears welled up in my eyes and slid down my cheeks. "Zac, that song you wrote, listen to it, don't cry, I'm so proud of you boys, I always knew you would make it big. Zac, I want you to remember that and someday, far in the future I hope, we will be together in heaven. But for now I must leave you." "Don't go, Grandma, please!" "Now Zac you know I can't remeber Zac, remember." So I stood there alone and in disbelief I realized I had talked to angels. Angels of the sky.
