				Chapter Three
				    Garfield
Just three hours till I go home and gt out of this smelly hospital. For
the last hour and a half Callie and I had been watching cartoons while my
parents had a meeting with our manager. Most people would think that Callie
had a crush on me, but it's not like that. the truth is that Callie is one of my
best friends, besides my brothers. Callie is exactly two months older than I
am and when I was about three months old our mothers would have us get
together every Tuesday to play. As long as I can remember we have been
close friends. The only problem is that ever since we became famous I haven't
had much time to spend with her in the last year and a half. We have been
taking a break for a while before we start our full scale tour later on. Our
parents encouraged us to do this because they wanted to relieve us of the
stress of being on the road. Our manager also approved this because we are
scheduled to start recodring a follow up album next fall and we have been
having trouble writng songs to put on this. I tried to block this out of my
thought train.
"Taylor, can we please watch Garfield, you know I hate freakazoid!"
"But I never get to watch Freakazoid normally."
"Garfield has a better theme song."
"And the theme song really matters?"
"You, the musically inclined of the two of us, and you don't even care
about the theme song."
	"Fine you win."
"Yeah!!!" she jumped up and changed it to Garfield.
Now you think that Callie is acting a bit immature for a fourteen year
old, but she loves Garfield. She has Garfield sheets, Garfield sleepshirt,
Garfiled plush toy, the whole nine yards. Well I still think it's better than if
she was like the hundreds of girls out there that are infatuated with my
brothers and me. There are actaully people out there that have their walls
covered in posters of us, have all of our performances taped, have two copies
of our CD and are basically obsessed fans. Really sometime's it's scary to
think about people like that.
When Callie was arguing over what show to watch she was sating that
I was the musician of the two of us, but Callie is really talented too. she has a
beautiful soprano voice and plays the violin. I don't mind her singing, but
when it's the Garfield theme song I don't tend to appreciate it, which she was
currently doing.
"Callie, could you please knock it off."
	"Just beacuse you're a famous singer doesn't mean that I can't sing."
"I never said that, it's just that the theme osng is annoying."
"Fine you highness. Wait I hear someone, I bet your parents convinced
the doctors to let you out now."
When the two people came into the room it was definately not my
parents. Two men in their mid-twenties came waltzing in.
"It's nice to see that your whole family likes carttons. yout little brother
watched alot of them today." one of them causally slipped in.
I heard Callie gasp. All I could think was how was this happening.
they're back to get me now. At least it seems that Zac and Ike are okay.
"We decided that since you put up so much trouble before that we're
not going to risk any protesting this time." assured the same one with the
darker hair."And we're taking your sister too."
	"What?" I asked stunned.
"Her, your sister, we're taking her with us." He repeated as he pointed
the gun at Callie.
	"But.."Calie began."
"I said we're not going to have any arguing this time!"
The blond put his arms around Callies's waist and practically dragged
her out. The other put a firm grisp on my wrist, I could feel my pulse as my
heart thumped in my chest.
When we passed the elevstors the blond told me that we were taking
the back way, the stairs for the fire exit. We took the steps carefully and
arrivewd in the parking lot. We were dragged over to an old Buick with an
airconditioned U- Haul attached to the back. We had the please of riding in
the back of a pich dark U-Haul.
They had been thoughtful enough to leave a few blankets in there so
Callie and I blindly piled them together to make a soft nest, using one to pull
over ourselves. As Callie huddled against me adn sobbed on my shoulder all
my fear disappered and a warm feeling flooded my body.
"Taylot, what are we going to do?" she whimpered.
"I don't know, but Zac and Ike will be there and it'll be just fine." I
whispered to her. The next thing I know we both drifted off into sleep.
"Isn't it cute, two lovebirds. Don't you know that's incest!?!" moicked
the brunette when he opened the door to let us out.
"Sorry, we have to put blindfolds on so you can't see where you are,"
explained tye blond as he slipped the red bandanna over my eyes.
I had decided that the blond was clearly the nicer of the two, he also
looked like Zac.
