Chapter Nine

Callie
				    Chapter Nine
				     Awakenings
The first thing I heard was a faint sniffling as if it was coming from
miles away. My eyes flicked open and I saw whitness infront of me. I looked
toward teh direction the snifling was coming from and saw a girl with her
head in her hands her below shoulder legth hair hanging down so I couldn't
seeee her face.
"Are you okay?" I asked the girl.
A face looked up at me with tears streaming down it. What an ugly girl
I thought. She just stared at me. It was making me uncomfortable the way she
was staring.
"Who are you?" I asked not recognizing this girl or where I was at.
"Callie, it's Taylor, don't you remember me?" she asked in a strangly
depp, husky voice.
	"No am I supposed to?"
"Callie, we've been friends since we were babies."
"No, I'v been friends with Ike and Zac since I was little, they live down
the street from me in Tulsa, they're famous, you know."
"Callie, Ike and Zac are my brothers. Please say you remember me.
The last thing you said was that you loved me." she begged as tears poured
down her face.
"I'm sorry, but I don't remember you at all. The last thibg I remember is
being shot and fallling on the floor. Where am I? How did I get here? Where
are Zac and Ike? And why would I say I love you, you're a gilr!?"
"First off, I'm a guy, just with really long hair. My brothers and I got
you out of that place and took you here. You're in a hospital in Oklahoma
City. Zac and Ike are in the waiting room."
"What happened to the guy that shot me?"
"It's a long story!" he vlurted out.
"I'm sorry," I said reaching over and brushing the tear off of his cheek.
He reached over and pressed a yellow button, explaining that it called
the nurse. A nurse, whose nametag identified her as Molly, came in the room.
"She doesn't remember me. She remembers eeveryone else buy me.
Why?"
"She probably has what is called selective amnesia. It's when someone
has amnesia about one person, usually based a traumatic experience that
ocuured before they blacked ou or got hit.
"I didn't mean to traumatize her."
"It's not always like that. Once there was lady that came in here after
getting a concusion fron falling down a flight of steps and she didn't
remmeber her husband tilll two weeks after she woke up.
I saw the look of terror on Taylor's face. I felt so bad. I didn't mean to
have it seem that I hated him. He looked so hurt, I felt like giving him a big
bear hug, He wasn't bad looking either, infact now that I knew he was a guy
he was pretty hot stuff. As my friend Jenna would sat, "He's a hottie!!!"
"Can I see Ike and Zac?"
"I'll go get them, " he replied with a glum look on his face.
