Anne's Four Seasons I. Winter The wind blows agianst the shuttres making them creak in the wind snow drifts pile up into mountain peaks of ice children slide down hills joyously enjoying their winter ride the sun shines on the ice covered trees making a forest of sparkling diamonds all to be dystoyed by the spring thaw II. Spring Crocusses bloom ending the gloom and bringing on a rebirth trees blossom with tiny new buds and the snow melts to feed the daffodils tempatures rise while children impatiantly wait for the day of school whose ending signals the ensalught of Summer Break III. Summer The blue Chlorine pool is filled with hot bodies while marshmellows roast above a flickering bonfire bubbling with creamy goo aircinditioners run emiting freon into the delicate atmosphere of our blue planet earth and parched land cracks like chapped lips before the cicadas hum warning of autumn IV.Autumn The leaves crunch under our feet a rainbow of crimson and gold as they plummit from the trees bright marmalade pumkins being caved while children perfect witches costumes and cornucopias are carefully placed next to a plump, stuffed turkey and children eagerly anticipate the coming of Christmas and snow days -Anne Vanderhorst, October 28,1997
