Sorry this took so long but I had trouble with uploading at my dad's neways look for a new story cooming soon! Chapter Seven Shivering As the days drew closer to reaching Mytron, so did Alora and I. At first we had a very gentle affectionate relationship, but recently we had become more passionate. We estimated that we were two days away from Mytron. We travelled all day through the pressing heat, at dusk we pitched camp and cooked supper. It was dried meat that we boiled in water over a fire to make it soft, juicy and tender. Then our exhaustion kicked in and I built up the fire to keep us warm through the bitter cold night. I lay back down and started to shiver from the chilly air that's as intense as the daytime heat. I closed my eyes and tries to warm up. I felt like an icicle, my teeth chattered and I couldn't stand it much longer. Then I felt a finger tap my arm. I looked over and there Alora peered at, even she was cold. "Wouldn't we be warmer if we shared our body heat?" "Huh, yeah!"I was surprised she knew that this far back in time. "Okay, wellyou lay your blankets down and then we'll lay down and put my blankets on yop of it." I did as she instructed. We lay there huddling together in the frigid cold. I lay there and shivered, but when Alora gently put her arms around I practically jumped out of my skin. She looked at me and started to pull back but I didn't want my jumpiness to ruin the moment. "Sorry, you just surprised me," I confesed as I pushed myself back into her half open arms. Her head rested againist my chest and our breathing became deep and rhythmic. I eventually stopped shivering, but the whole night I never fell asleep as Alora did, I was too tickled by what had happened and I didn't want to ever forget it. Chapter Eight Incognito As the sun rose into the cerulean skies Alora and I sat on our camels, travelling the last length of the trip. By midday I could see the high walls of Mytron pressing against the shimmering horizon. It looked like like Ayers Rock, pushing up through Australia's dry orange earth to make a castle in the sky. Wehn we first saw Mytron, it was the size of a tiny rock on the horizon line. But as the sun pressed towerds the east, did I mnetion the sun sets in the east and rises in the west, we saw the great oasis begin to loom before us. When we got closer we started going through the slum houses, for the poor people that couldn't afford to buy land in the actaul oasis, they just went into Mytron daily to get water from the giant lakes and wells. We passed several merchants begging us to buy their silk cloth and little trinkets so they can afford to buy bread to bring home to their gaunt families. Children who you could count their eyes, with eyes that stood out from teir heads, imploring you for mercy. I thought we should just keep moving, but at one silk and cloth booth Alora stopped. She went up to small man that owned it. she taped him on the shoulder. He turned around and looked at her, studied her for a brief moment before smile lit up his face. "My dear Alora." "Uncle Imosa, it's so good to see you." "Alora, what are you doing here, if Alcastor ever found out, he'dd hang both of us." "I know, but I'm here, and my friend Isaac, need your help." "What ever I can do to help you my child." "Uncle, let's go to your house and we shall make arrangements, I want to see your beautiful wife and Charla too." "Oh Alora, this is wonderful, but why are you here." "I will tell you in the safty of your home." Chapter Nine Uncle Imosa We were led to a pueblo like house. There in the two room house there was a kitchen and eating area in one room and beds in the other. There was a women that I was guessing to be Imosa's wife and a young girl of about six that held tightly to her ownly possesion. A rag doll her papa made for her for Christmas. It was the Christmas before papa died. Charla was only three then and for weeks her mother wouldn't speak about the loss of her father. Infact for a whole two months she didn't speak one word. "Amita, Charla, I'm sure you remember Alora from two years ago, before she moved away. Her frined Isaac is here too." "Auntie Alora, what's it like being a princess?" "It's all right, someday when your ten Charla, you can come visit me at the castle for amonth and you can be my princess then." "Really, can I really do that?" asked the samll child as her yes widened in surprise. "Of course you can, a princess never breaks a promise." I didn't understand exactly what was going on. Alora seemed to sense that on my face. "Isaac, this my good friend Imosa, I visited him and his familt everyday when I lived in Mytron. We've picked up names like antie and uncle, thoguh there's no blood relation. I still send them 3 pieces of gold each month to help them, if not they would still be living on the streets." As Alora whispered this into my ear, Imosa was busy setting the table. "Come sit and eat and then we will talk of this pressing matter you spoke so urgently of." We sat in silence as we gulped down the thick beef stew. Then Alora broke the silence. "Uncle, Isaac and I are here because about a week ago Raibith was kidnapped, we thought that Alcastor had him. Have you heard anything about this?" "Yes my dear, they brought him in to town right down the main street whipping him every inch of the way." "Isaac and I need to get in, we need some silk vials to disguise ourselves. If you can supply us with these and we come out alive, I promise that you will all be moved to Lakeshrock, the quit and peaceful viallge outside the castle and that you will have a well paying job." "Of course Alora, anything for you, you don't even have to move us!" "Thank you Uncle. Peace to you and Charla," Alora greeted to Amita. "We must be off now," interrupted Imosa. We set off back to his silk stand and gave each of us the finest silk he had. Alora fixed hers and helped me attached mine. As we were struggling with it Imosa saw that I had five fingers. He stared, yet said nothing. We walked down to the gates and were let in. The city of Mytron stood before us. Chapter Ten Absolute Truth Alora led me through the city and to the castle. "Requesting permission to see his majesty Alcastor," she said like a robot at the gate to the castle. "Reason for seeing his highness?"queried the gaurd at the gates "Requesting permission form his majesty to purchase land on the lone side of Mytron." "Persmisiion granted to see his majesty." We were let into the palatial structure and Alora told me the plan. I was to go in and talk to alcastor about possibly joining my troops to his army and to explain why he hated alora so much. During that time Alora would sneek behind curtains in the throne room and get behind the throne then she would pull a knife out and hold it at his throut till he released Raibith, during that time I would disappear and light of the rockets that would have the army that is stationed on the far side of Mytron to storm the castle. Of course I didn't really have troops, but it was my alibi. I went into the throne room. Alcastor had some crazy idea that he should be king and had to be called his majesty and demanded to be treated like a king. "So peasant, what have you come here for?" He asked scornfully. "Your majesty. I have troops about 20 miles from here. I am interested in joining them with your soldiers to march on Queen Alora." His eyes widened."Well what do you need to know?" he gleefully asked. "Why are you so much against her?" "It's a long story." "I won't let my troops join unless I hear it." "All right here it it: Long ago I used to be a good person, the good Lord Alcastor, second to the king. The King and his beautiful wife lived in the same castle I did. Now frequently the king would leave for several days to take care of business around Exeter. During this time the queen and I would spend time together and we got to know each other very well. One day we slept together. From then on everytime the king went away our passions would be in the bed. Then one day the king came home early and found me in the bed with the queen and banished me to this desert. I wandered here for days before I found this oasis and made it my home. I lived like a recluse in pure solitude, still upset at the king for banishing me. Then a year after I had been banished I got a letter from the queen telling me to come to the castle. when I came I was greeted my her and a beautiful baby girl, the product of our passions. she told me that the king was away and that I needed to know that I had a daughter. I stayed one night, and then the queen told me I had to take Alora, our daughter away. I did and raised her in Mytron, which was becoming a large city. The next I heard from the queen was a year and a half later, she wanted to see Alora. We went and she gave Alora a necklace with the royal ring hanging on it. We stayed the night and for the last time the Quenn Cherise and I beded together. I never saw her again alive. But from the last time we bred Raibith was born and raised as a king. Alora, the sister stayed with me. Then fourteen years later Raibith found out about me and set out aginast me, kidnapped Alora and turned her against me. Turned against by my own children! That is why my ungrateful children should learn that royalty isn't the key to success." When Alcastor had finished his narritive I heard a gasp. It was Alora, finding the true roots of her birth. She had told me that even thoguh it was proved she was royalty, she couldn't figure out how she got hazel eyes the exact same color of Alcastors. "Daddy?" Alora asked as she revieled her self? "Alora, you ungrateful." "Daddy I'm sorry, I didn't know! Please forgive me!" "How could I not forgive you, my little princess." They both hugged, a real family reunion, whcih made me miss mine. Alcastor called for Raibith to be called in and the story was explained. They decided that Raibith would rule with Alcastor in Mytron and Alora would rule in the castle Mockingbird, the royal castle. Amita, Charla, and Imosa would live in the palace and be the royal dressmakers. During this time alora came over and asked me to come back and help her rule at Mockingbird. "I have to get home." "But until you do." "I guess. So the next day we set off back to Mockingbird. Chapter Eleven The Castle Walls Back at Mockingbird I spent a week there. Today thoguh I was looking at stars. I laid on the three foot thick castle walls looking at the stars. I pretended that I saw earth. i closed my eyes and remembered what it was like to be with my family. I rolled to my right, forgetting I was four stories up and rolled right of the edge of the walls. I felt sick. Sick as I fell thinking I would die in a different world. I hit the ground with a heavy thunk and looked up. I was alive and had rolled into a grassy path of land with trees around it. I stood up to go see Alora and there was no castle, but a warm light coming from the trees. I followed it and heard voices mingling with one another, laughing. I followed it and saw it was coming from a tree, a tree house. I went up the ladder and looked in, not knowing what to expect. They say to expect the unexpected. "Ike, where have you been!" Taylor demanded. "To work on my sci-fi novel." "Uhh, you disgust me, we couldn't find you anywhere!" "Yeah and we wanted to practice!" Zac yelled. "Sorry, let's go." I was glad to be back, but doubting what had happened. I reached in the pocket of my jeans and pulled out the ring. the ring that hung at Alora's neck for over seventeen years. Now it was my job to make the people know the truth. THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE! THE END
