An Inquiry Into the Cause and Nature of Erisian Leftism

Lefism; a topic which is sure to arouse the utmost political fervor whenever heard. Huge debate arises, confusion follows, and almost always, someone gets accused of being a 'commie', while the response to the insulter is just as enraging, a 'capitalist fatcat'. But this inquiry looks into a different Leftism, the nature of which is unknown to virtually all the world, as it was only formed only recently, in protest to the ignorance, hypocrisy, brutality, and overall intolerable behavior of our 'Big Brother', Uncle Sam. This 'new Leftism' or 'Erisian Leftism', so named after Eris, Goddess of Chaos, Discord, Strife and Confusion, is formed of political radicals attending Monta Vista High School, is fighting on to preserve individualism, free-thinking, resistance to authority, and honesty, as well as upholding a moral standard that few would deem to be anacceptable. The morals are simple: no acting like Big Brother, no alcohol/tobacco/drugs, and no acts which would violate the basic human rights. Some Erisian Leftists may be members of the Discordian disorganization of the El Kabong Kabal, of which further description can be found in the Leftist Manifesto. The goal of the Leftist Movement at Monta Vista, or LMMV, is to make the masses realize that they are merely 'sheep in the flock', 'cabbages', and cogs of the American Corporate Machine. Erisian Leftists do not believe in Communism as it is practiced. The movement is called Leftism because it provides an open expression of it's non-conformist ideals, Leftism being that we oppose the Right Wing politics, but also because leftists wish to retain their individuality. In doing so, they give some indication by their manner of dress, appearance, or opinions that they belong to the LMMV, such as a pulling up of the left sleeve of a long sleeve shirt up to elbow height, some kitchen utensil inserted into one's sunglasses on the left side, a deliberate miss spillink uf weirds, or generally making one's appearance such that he/she is obviously going against the norms of society. Erisian Leftists are sympathetic to many radical activist groups and counter culture individualists, such as they approve of the movement to give Mumia A. J. a fair trial, and they respect people known as Goths, but there are disagreements with them over certain practices. Erisian Leftists are planning to change Monta Vista High School, and later, the US public, for the better. Recently, one of the key leftist co-founders, who shall be labeled El Grande Leftismo, was elected to be Vice President of the Class of 2000, of which nearly all Leftists are a part.
